Could have been better
Hotel overall okay but let down by small things, shower was blocked and flooded bathroom - was fixed quickly by room service, cold shower one morning, there is No self service laundry - as advertised. Best way to get there is via the Metro, station is short walk away, don't use tram

it has a new name Hotel Harfa ....
- receptionist lady was speaking czech with a strong russian accent, not sure about English, must be similar like czech
- she was complaining about to much work, to many telephone calls and etc.
- location not close to the city centre but there is a underground stop just 5 min walk from the hotel and from there it takes few minutes to the city centre
- no table in the room
- broken wall and door in the room (see the photos enclosed)
- very strong smell of bleach in the shower
- the bed lining looked like somebody has already slept in the bed, needed ironing
+ parkin is free on the street if there is an empty space, otherewise at the yard at the back of hotel for small charge (110 CZK/day)
+ free wifi
+ cheap hotel rather clean

Clean and practical, but staff....
I stayed in a double room with an ensuite, which was clean and quite pleasant for what I originally expected for a hostel. The room had a TV that only received Czech, Russian, and other Eastern European transmissions. The bathroom was clean and modern.
However, without sounding arrogant, I was amazed that not one member of staff spoke adequate English. Across the 3 nights that we stayed here, we encountered 2 female workers that knew very basic English; but could not help with directions etc. The rest of the workers either spoke no English at all, or maybe they just refused to. Being a hostel with many international guests in a cosmopolitan city such as Prague, I find it incredible that they do not have at least one member of staff fluent in English. Staff could not speak other international languages such as French or Spanish either; only Czech.
Overall, I would recommend Hotel Harfa for young travellers on a budget. Thoroughly plan your trip before arrival as staff will offer no assistance with navigating the city and its various public transport networks, like other hotels/hostels do. Despite the disappointing service, our room was nice and comfortable!

Cheap and clean hostel
By tram the hostel ist about 15 minutes from the center. Sunshine is definetly no star hotel, but it was super clean, showers were nice and the staff (who doesn´t speak english) was very friendly. Nothing bad to say about the place for a very good price.
