Hengshan Garden Hotel

Hotel is conveniently located. There are 2 metro stations nearby. Bell desk boys speak English while reception staff keeps themselves busy doing something? We reached hotel around 11:30 pm and no one came to collect our baggage despite requesting had to carry that till the reception. Some guys in coat pant keep on moving in the lobby area but if one calls they just turn their face and do not respond, which is a strange thing. There is a limited choice for vegetarian but food quality is good. I do not know from where they call a taxi which charged me 240 you a for drop to Airport while they said it should be 200. When I took a cab from the Airport to the hotel the bill was 216. This is strange and could not do anything as the driver did not know English. Their swimming pool facility is useless as it is suffocating and not at all relaxing. They must realize that guests are there to enjoy not for training and swimming championship.

Vegetarian food or breakfast is not available. The ambience and the staff is courteous.

I find this hotel one of the best place to stay in Shanghai. Location is peaceful and away from madding crowd of City centre or Nanjing road. In spite of this it is quite happening and entertaining area. Moreover hotel itself offers many leisure options. Among them I am quite impressed with indoor tennis facility at 2nd floor. Staff is very polite and most of them able to communicate in English

A very good property with good location and well known regional brand. Overstaffed but indifferent staff, requires lot of corrective training and inputs on service orientation. Senior management very responsive to the feedback. Hope to go back to experience better product next time.

Very good staff behavior, excellent location and quiet area. This was my third stay here. Only issue is far from market and Nanjing Road and Bund. I stayed 3 nights this time and business facilities are good. Chinese restaurant food quality is good and appears popular. Coffee shop also good and breakfast is good spread.
