You are in the center of Salzburg, a couple minutes from the river with lots of restaurants around. The room was as one can expect for the price: nothing high class but absolutely sufficient and the bathroom is actually really nice! You can park in a parking garage in Linzer Gasse and get a discount from the hotel staff (we paid about 14 euro for 24 hours instead of normally 20 euro).

Good location, minimal charm
We chose this hotel for it's location, which was close to the river and old town with many restaurants close by. The Linzer Gasse has been converted to a pedestrian only street and the taxi from the train station had to drop us about 150 meters from the hotel. The reception desk was not staffed when we arrived, there was a sign to go to the bar next door and someone from there let us in and gave us a key to our room.
The room is decent size however only a small desk with a chair and night stands, no other seating except on the bed. Decor was minimalist, almost spartan. The bathroom has recently been updated so was modern but very little counter space, had to put toiletries bag on the floor. Bed was comfortable. Window opens but no AC was evident. Not a problem when we were there but might be an issue in hot weather. A fan was provided in the room.
There is a breakfast room, but no lobby or public seating area for conversation or relaxing. Free coffee and tea were available 24/7.
As mentioned in another review, church bells chime every quarter hour from 6 am to 10 pm, so don't plan on sleeping in!

Family- apartment 202
We had a few nights in apartment 202. The location was just brilliant. A real home in the middle of it all yet quiet at night. We were blown away with the size of the apartment when we arrived. The bedroom was huge, even with two king size beds in it there was space galore. Also a lot of cupboards and drawers.
The lounge room was also spacious, with two three seater sofas, piano, dining table and a small kitchen. There were a few basic provisions, such as oil and pepper/salt, tea etc which were appreciated, even if not used. The bathroom is rather dated but does the job.

Great location in centre of to....
We chose the hotel for its location and it was great and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. On arrival we were allocated an apartment about 200 yards down the road. The apartment was very spacious and a bit quirky - we liked it but maybe not to everyone's taste!
We returned to the hotel bar in the evening and fully enjoyed the atmosphere. We ate Pizza in the bar and drank very good red wine. We returned to the bar the next evening as we had enjoyed it so much. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and welcoming and we would definitely use this hotel again.

Good location dated hotel
We chose this hotel due to its great location as it is a very short walk to the river and old town. When we arrived I was disappointed with the check in - as it was late (7 pm) there was no one in the hotel and a sign indicating for checkin to go to the adjoining smoky bar. The hotel is dated and in need of some redecoration. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable but the carpets were old and the walls very marked. In one of our rooms the plastic on the hairdryer was melted. We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment on that but there was free tea and coffee 24 hours/day. I felt the hotel was over priced for the facilities offered. The bells in the church just across the street ring every 15 mins from 6 am this wasn’t a problem for us but may bother some.
