I'd stay away ..sorry to state....
Arrived on a weekend . Have no idea why my damn agent placed me over here ....
far away from the town center and the airport ..long -long ride on the terrible town roads .
The room is clean ...good WiFi connection ,
Stuff does not understand a word in English . She was laughing...( this stupid gringo does not speak Spanish)
I believe - if you are running business in a tourists area - you might have multilingual staff ..
Anyways - no lunch or dinner options around - need to take taxi to the town center ..
I would summarize that way - if you are looking for decent place to stay and enjoy the Antarctic beauty - stay away of this property. 142USD - is too much for this .

Nice friendly clean place to s....
Was a 15 min drive out of town but was quiet, clean and had great views from our upstairs room of the whole of Ushuaia.
Breakfast was nice and the host very friendly.
Able to park outside and up the end of the road is the Tierra del Fuego park entrance.
Lots of hot water and good sized rooms.

Amazingly friendly hostess and....
Our experience was so good because of the polyglot owner, Ellenida (sp?). From the moment we arrived she did everything to make sure we had a great time in Ushuaia. We arrived in the early afternoon and wanted to see penguins--she knew the boat was leaving soon, called us a cab, and we were able to have a great time instead of just "settling in" on our arrival day. She gave us all the logistics about how to access the hiking trails and called to reserve a spot for us on the shuttle to the National Park.
On a day where we wanted to rent a car, she "knew a guy," drove us to his work, and the guy rented us a new car on a handshake. Wow. On our return we punctured a tire just as we were pulling into the Hosteria and, guess what, Elenida led us to a car shop so we could get the tire plugged. She is a very generous person and seems to have this town wrapped around her little finger.
The accommodations are basic but clean. There are great views over the town and to the channel from the rooms. Breakfast is good and will fill you up. You do have to take a cab to the main part of town but it is easy and cheap.
Overall, if you are looking for an authentic experience I think this is a great option. This place has heart and soul.

I enjoyed two nights here. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was perfectly adequate for a day out around town. The staff were friendly and tried hard to answer questions even across the language barrier. The Bella Vista is out of town a bit and so its a 40 min walk into town.

First off, we didn't book this place. Our reserved hostel was overbooked and sent us here. We didn't put up a fight based on the other decent reviews here. We should have.
First, the streets around the hostel were all dirt and the neighborhood was very run down. I understand Ushuaia has a lot of unfortunate poverty, but that's not what we came to see. It was very very far from downtown that has all the good restaurants and things to do. Fortunately, cabs are very cheap and easy to get in Ushuaia, so that wasn't terrible, but I'd have rather devoted that money to staying somewhere decent that is not on a dirt road in a slum.
The comforters on the bed looked like they were 30 years old, and they were white so you could see every year. The pillows had a lot of long black hairs on them, and we dont have long black hair, so she was disgusted. We are a couple, and the room we got had two twin beds and two twin bunk beds. Nice touch.
The whole place was very old and also very dirty. Not cleaned very well at all. The toilet wouldn't flush anything down, so anything mire than No. 1 and you need to go elsewhere. When I went downstairs to use the public bathroom, it was terrible too. No flushing toilet paper, so pit your crap on paper that sits out in the air of geh room.
The shower head was broken, so it just shot a single stream of water at you like a garden hose, but with less pressure. Then the temperature would swing from hot to cold to hot to cold. Terrible.
Lastly, the internet went out constantly and was slow even when it was working. Not good enough for any Skype voice calls home.
