Great place to stay with famil....
This cabin is a very nice rustic design. You can light an open fire and it’s very cosy. Nice bathroom and comfortable accommodation. Recommend picking up groceries and eating in. There’s a wine selection if you forget to buy. Would chose this again if in Ushuaia.

We stayed in the suite lodge which is a 2 bedroom lodge. It has bedroom upstairs and hall, kitchen downstairs. The hotel was little outside the city center but taxi to downtown is like 70 pesos.
The kitchen had everything to cook food. The tours that hotel booked for us for penguin tour and national park were best prices even after comparing several online prices.
The owner there was pretty helpful and was decent in English. Booked airport transportation for us for 250 pesos.
The harberton ranch tour was probably not that interesting for us. It would appeal more to people with interest in history and science. The guided tour was pretty extensive and not to take anything away from guide who explained this and was fabulous. But do that only if you are interested in fish science and history of ranch.
The rode back from harnerton is long one 2hours +

Stay here, you'll love it.
Great setting. Clean, quite. I don't speak any Spanish, yet Manuel and I we're able works things out. Planned ask my tours with great people. I couldn't have been more pleased with my once in lifetime visit to Ushuaia.

Wooded ski lodge
This is a couple of miles out of the city so you will have to walk or take a taxi for any activities. The rooms are nice and reasonably furnished with heated floors. We never found the temp control so all you could do was open a window to cool off. Therein was a problem from noise from the nearby highway and some dogs next door which barked late at night. The breakfast was a couple of rolls and some yogurt left the night before. The wifi was excellent and free. The staff that was usually present spoke no English but we had the number of someone who could help us if needed. Getting taxis was no problem. About $5USD to the city. Overall it was attractive but downgraded for the lack of real breakfast and the noise,

This property is more of an old school ski lodge than a hotel. You get to Patagonia Villa by going on a few dirt roads, and there really isn't an entrance - just a pullover. The reception area is at the top of the hill - again think ski condo - where the staff is very friendly if not always available. Macarena was very helpful making our dinner reservations and confirming taxis. It's just that her hours are limited so this isn't a full service type of property.
We had a lodge type room for my husband and I while our daughters had a standard room. There was a world of difference. Ours had a living room and kitchen with a loft for the king size bed. They had pretty cramped quarters with two beds. Again, not an upscale property and you make your own breakfast, but it was a very nice place to spend the night. Once you get to know the dogs next door, the barking is less of an issue. You can pretty easily walk into town during the day - I'd be less inclined to do so at night just because the area isn't well lit. Once you get past the non-traditional nature of the place, it really is lovely and we would stay again.
