The location was nice, but I was disappointed that the hotel seemed reluctant to provide a city-view or lake-view room. The receptionist, Preethumita, assisted us during check-in. Food, as always, was quite good.
However, the room experience was not up to 5-star standards. I was allotted Room No. 2307, where the tap did not have a washer. There was no bathtub soap provided, and I had to call express service for it. Unfortunately, most of the time my calls went unanswered. Even before arrival, when I tried confirming my booking from my personal number, my calls were not picked up.
On 2nd October, which was my wife’s birthday, I had requested for a cake and room decoration. While I understand the hotel does not provide room decoration, I was surprised that the cake was not arranged at check-in despite my prior request, and her name was also not written on it as communicated earlier. I eventually had to follow up at the reception to get the cake.
On the positive side, the concierge services truly stood out. The staff who accompanied us to the room, assisted with the cars, and the service boys were extremely polite, helpful, and left a very good impression with their behavior.
