Average Stay
The room shown in photos and actual were not exactly same, expected better managed rooms. Facilities like toiletteries top-up can be improved. Location is Ok. Vegetarian food quality is ok but doesn't provide value for money.

Very Comfortable sta
the stay with Istana was very comfortable. The staff at the reception and at the restaurant were quite friendly and very supportive and provided very good service. the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was served hot and customized as per our requirement and tastes. the reception area and the outdoor seating area were very very large and ambient.

Excellent Stay
One of the best experiences We had so far everything was excellent, food , location, staff ,room and most importantly the view from the balcony of Kanchenjunga was mesmerising. Priyanka at the reception was very helpful and supportive she upgraded our room as I was having back pain due to excessive travelling. The food was very delicious and we enjoyed as it was totally vegetarian. The Hotel staff also was very courteous and polite. One more thing we wanted to add was the hi- tea in which the pakoras and chai and the Siliguri biscuits were very yummy and tasty. We cannot forget the awesome food and excellent service and the beautiful atmosphere experience. We would recommend it is worth staying at the hotel.

worst experience
Horrible experience!! Rooms are dark and dirty.. wont suggest anyone to stay!! Outside of the property is good but once u enter into the room it is like Washrooms are dirty no mantainence.. Rooms ambience is parhetic.. they charged me ALMOST equal to a five star property but service is zero.. pla dont viait

Istana resort review
Excellent view from the rooms. However, the Kanchenjunga view is partly available from most of the rooms. We stayed in a Deluxe room on the second floor. We could only see a part of the peak. The service was at par at most. Overall experience was not worth the money spent. Also, important update: there is no non-veg food in the hotel’s Sagar restaurant. However you can order via Swiggy or Zomato. The room’s condition was also decent at max. The room’s wifi is worst. Got at max 20megabits/sec. Pathetic wifi.

My recent stay at the resort was quite enjoyable overall. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, offering a relaxing atmosphere. Good Stay
Location good,room size is good but suite room not as suite room compare to price. No good sofa ,very small in size,bathroom stinking,bath towels not good,overall stay was average. Suite room we booked but it doesn't fulfill as suite room,it is just a hotel room
