The hotel is fantastic and the quality of maintenance, food and cleanliness is great. For family it is an amazing place to stay. However one caution that please be careful with travel desk as they overcharge telling that road is closed or for maintenance etc. I am not sure how such great property allowed them to do such things.

Not Worth the Price

Rooms were decent since the property has aged a lot now, the fit and finish were seen to be wearing out. The worst part is if anybody’s driving to Sterling, the approach road leading to the hotel is too narrow, it would be a hefty task if the driver is not skilled. Also, the food was too expensive as compared to the quality offered. The best part about the hotel is the Service Boy and their behaviour. Service was good and prompt.

The photos on the platform and the current state of rooms are nothing less than appalling. Prices they charge on food can let you go on a state of depression in those dingy rooms. The only plus point is the location, however they’ll make best use of that seclusion with exorbitantly priced food

Poor Stay

There were many things will summarize with few points: 1. I was not given the room I booked from makemytrip citing corporate policy change by hotel staff. I booked a valley view room with 7.5k for each night for 2days but had to settle with garden view room as I was bound to and no help from sterling citing changes without any prior information or update. I had a prepaid booking. 2. Rooms not at all maintained well. Damp walls, uncomfortable beds, broken furnitures like wardrobe, chair. Sockets broken not working, electric kettle was soiled and not washed. 3. Food prices were very very exorbitant as compared to the services, portion or taste. Breakfast had repeated items from past day. Extremely overpriced food menu without quality and quantity.

A Serene Escape with Breathtaking Views I recently stayed at Sterling Darjeeling and was thoroughly impressed. The location is unbeatable—perched high above the town with panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range. Waking up to that sight was magical. Warm Hospitality That Made Our Stay Memorable From the moment we arrived at Sterling Darjeeling, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. What truly stood out was the restaurant staff—they remembered our preferences and served every meal with a smile. A special shoutout to Mr. Roshan at the Bar and Mr. Pramod at dining area. There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, from tambola housie nights to bonfires. It’s a perfect spot for families or couples looking for a peaceful retreat. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Darjeeling!

Location is great, beautiful view, esp from the resort’s own Kanchanjunga view point. Food can be improved, certain bakery items were stale. Service was excellent.

Found the property while exploring hotels for stay in darjeeling on make my trip. Perfectly placed location near ghoom monastery and station. Surrounded with lush green pine trees and mountain view. Services were prompt and exactly the way required by travellers. The resort is well equipped with all the required amenities for a peaceful holiday. Only lacking part is food which does not justifies its pricing. Quality wise its not satisfactory and the resort should look into improving food quality and variety.

A complete holiday destination

A big property with a number of amenities and activities like children play area, table tenis, carom, foosball, karaoke, bonfire and much more. The restuarant offers a wide variety of lip smacking food and snacks. Karanveer Singh went an extra step to make sure we get the best dining experience. The only negative is very small room bathroom. It could have been bigger. Overall, a complete package bundled together.
