Best place to stay in Darjeeling, if you want to relax and enjoy the kanchenjunga view from your room balcony and unblocked access. If you don't want to access the Mall road on a daily basis and you have your rented vehicle to Darjeeling trip. It's a heritage resort, which I would say is not senior citizen friendly as the resort is on elevation and the walk to the resort from the main road is difficult and time taking. All this can be taken care of, if your taxi driver is ready to come to the top like ours. The Manager Mr. Ravi is a friendly and knowledgeable person and gives the best possible advice. Very helpful, explained the rules of the resort before check-in. The staff is very polite, the chef is good and the food is awesome, don't expect a spread breakfast or dinner but the limited options are awesome. Overall a pleasant experience.

In respect of Arcadia Heritage Resort Review of Ashim Majumdar (Self) Dr. Suparna Majumdar (Wife) & Dr. Suchandra Guha (Sister-in-law) are as follows:- 1) Food quality is Good. But it could be sameway enjoyable while taken late at Room in presence of Microoven inside the Room. As such any smallest model of Microoven is specially proposed inside any high quality Room as allotted to us. 2) Location is more or less Good while the approach road is not at all Long from Hill Cart Road but not so smooth because of its much steep upward slope. 3) All other facilities are Good, while the behaviour of all the Staff (specially including Anandi at Management) appeared as excellent.

Beautiful views, but disappointing service and hidden costs

The view from this Arcadia Heritage Resort is absolutely fantastic and easily the highlight of the stay. However, the experience was overshadowed by poor management. Staying here in December, the room temperature dropped to 5–10°C, yet a room heater was not included in the price. We were forced to pay an extra fee just to stay warm. Furthermore, the staff repeatedly tried to add extra charges for various excuses throughout our stay. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of us. Great location, but be prepared for hidden costs and cold rooms.

This property is near Dali Pathak almost 2.5 km away from the mall road. Location wise too good. You can see the mountain view directly from your room. If you are planning for a 3 night trip then 1 day you can spend in the resort only and can capture pictures from different locations like tree Cafe. We booked a double mountain view room and it was big in size, enough space for relaxation, and a balcony to have a sitting where you can enjoy the tea. Food is ok ok not even average in taste.

Very beautiful property although heritage style but very well maintained. Food was also awesome specially hand made pizza. Breakfast spread variety was not a lot but included local dishes and was tasty. Rooms are extremely well maintained and view from room is great. Its pleasure to hear and see the darjeeling train from the Arcadia Heritage Resort balcony. Hotel provides bed heating and all other basic amenities. Overall awesome stay and would love to visit again

Stayed here for two days during our darjeeling trip. The rooms were quite large & people were courteous. There is excellent view of kachanjungha from the personal veranda of the Arcadia Heritage Resort room. However the Arcadia Heritage Resort is outskirt of the main town. It become difficult to return to the Arcadia Heritage Resort from mall road/town centre as public transports are available only till 8. 30 pm in the week days.

The location of the Arcadia Heritage Resort was good and peaceful. We could see the view of the himalayan mountain range very clearly, especially kanchenjunga. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The service has been outstanding. The food was decent but kinda disappointing on one occasion. Overall, it is an excellent and beautiful place to stay if visiting darjeeling. I highly recommend it.

Nice big rooms with excellent view of the valley and Kanchenjunga. Share taxi available for Mall commute. Inside parking is good. Climb is bit steep so please check if travelling with old aged members. Food quality and other services very good

There are two words to describe " Simply awesome." I stayed for two days at Sterling and one day in this resort but the entire feeling of staying here for a night made me forget about Sterling Darjeeling. Special mention to Mrs. Anandi for being a great hostess and her sweet hand made tea.

The rooms and view was nice. Few problems I would list - 1. if it is a 7 seater vehicle the entrance to the resort is little difficult. 2. Room service should be improved - bathroom exhaust fan did not work, reported but they did not fix in my 2 days stay.

Everything is good during the stay. Except the location is at little height, where in luggage moves through vehicle, all others are perfect. All other aspects such as hospitality, food and serving pattern including guidance e to local destinations, is an amazing and wonderful experience.
