This hotel has a beautiful location and good food service facilities. rooms are very clean.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stayed at Fortune Retreats during my Ooty trip, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The location is scenic, peaceful, and well-suited for a family stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the view from the property added to the charm of the trip. The hospitality was decent, and the property had a relaxing vibe which made the stay enjoyable. However, one major disappointment was during our early morning checkout at 5:00 AM. There was no electricity, and when we called the reception, they assured us it would be restored within 10 minutes. Even after waiting for more than half an hour, there was still no power. Since we had clearly informed them of our early checkout, they could have at least turned on the backup lights. Instead, it felt like they ignored our situation to save on the electricity bill, which is highly unacceptable considering the premium charges for staying here. Overall, it’s a beautiful place worth staying, but the management needs to be more responsible and transparent in handling such situations.

Location wise good. Restaurant is not attached with cottages. Food is good. Room service is there but if you go to restaurant can enjoy hot food and view from the top. Room is neat and clean. Wifi facility is there but after 9.30PM availability is less until you demand. TV is there but no channel is subscribed by property

Food was good even service was average..but room was old and cleaning was bad for rest rooms.

This property is an isolated please in one building they have reception, kitchen,and restaurant ..and rooms are 300meeter away on top of the hill from reception...and from reception to room they are not providing any pickup and drop...road is very bad there is no street light on road and it's very difficult to go for dinner from room to resturant by walk in dark road .some time rain ,some time fog ,and to cold so how person can go there ...i seen one aged couple they are unable to walk this 300..400meetr road if some one have kids how they will go for breakfast and dinner,??... in hilly area normal people can't climb then how aged and children will climb??there is no buffet in breakfast and dinner ....inside room there is no tv ...tv is in living room where only 2 1seetr sofa was there ...so u can't enjoy tv in bedroom and big joke is sofa direction is one side and tv is another side ...in side bathroom there was a broken wash besan ...hand flush was leaking....and body wash and shampu dispenser was near wash besan so when u r taking bath every time u go near wash besan to take body wash and shampoo...not good for elderly and kids and if u don't have ur own car then avoid this property....other wise every time u pay 350...to 400 for oto to go main market or charring cross and for oto also u wait 30...40 mints ..first u call reception then they will call oto from down then u have to wait 30..40 mint ..then from there to return back to ur room again 350..400 from charring cross to this property around 3km and in that 3km area there is only 1very small shop ..for each and every small thing u go charring cross...overall will not stay again ....food was ok .....only good thing is they have 24hour hot water...

Room was not clean . Walls were dirty . Some weird smell that was not good . Doors were not secure . Didn't feel comfortable to stay .

My overall experience in the villa was good. The villa (hill view) was located at tiger hill giving a scenic view of the tea garden and mountain. It was a 1 bedroom villa where an extra room is made in the hall by partitioning through curtains. The bathroom was attracted to the main bedroom. It was a decent bathroom but i missed the shower. As it is a villa the room service was quite slow compared to a hotel. But it had a good budget restaurant where you can enjoy food with a mesmerizing view.

Had a great experience, the place was calm and beautiful. The staff was welcoming and took good care of us.

The villa is good and the surrounding nature is good. The room staff is good. Telephone is not working we have to call from our mobile. If we order anything, receptionist will forget.

One of the best resorts i have stayed in. Everything is positive here. First, the facility is amazing with superb valley view. Food is awesome, no words to describe the taste. Service was excellent. This resort was opened b4 28 years it seems. I am wondering how i missed such a wonderful resort all these years. Frankly speaking no negative points. 1 point which is not negative but to note. It is 1 or 2 kms away from city center. If you go by car no need to care about this.

Not expected. Very bad service. Even for water they have charged. Asked for fire camp and no response. But the one what we got was different and not good to stay. When asked, no proper response.

We stayed in individual villa for 2days and i would say it was pleasant stay. The property was approx 2km away from main road with narrow single lane take us to the property. Hospitality is really good and they address your query/issue asap. The room we stayed had water leakage problem which was fixed at the earliest. Decent resturant with good view, you can enjoy food surrounded by nature. Food was really good and tasty. The property close to central ooty(botanical garden and boat house. Highly recommended for family if you are staying in individual villa.

Location is good and away from the town. The scenery also is good. Fortune is a very old property with the buildings and cottages getting renovated step by step. If you want a reasonable stay then its the best amd do not expect star facilities there. They use very cheap material to renew them. I have stayed several times in their cottages. Every-time i find toilet tap, stuck-ed door, anything damaged at a time. And the water is pale in colour. The towels all are very old and they use even now. No breakfast included and you get very bad one if you order. They still live in 90s but i will give five stars for the location. Some of the cottages are beautiful to see from outside. Once again i say if looking for a budget stay it is very good with all facilities better than any other property.
