The rooms are quite big and comfortable, pretty clean and tidy. The Ally Beach Boutique Hotel Hoian staff was incredibly awesome. Breakfast options were good. They provide free tours that help you explore the culture. Pretty helpful too. The private beaches were a bit disappointing in December. Vegetarian food options for lunch and dinner were limited and not good, other than that I enjoyed pretty much everything. Also, the costs of bike/car rental or airport transfers are pretty high compared to what you can find elsewhere.
