Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminal 2

The Hotel does not live up to the Hilton standards in terms of service. You will not even get bathroom slippers or dental kits in the room. Even though its a transit hotel right at the Terminal 2 of the Heathrow airport. However the roof top Bar is really nice. Superb view and good service there. Also the if you are traveling from T2 its a bliss as its a 5 min walk.

At the time of check in there was a guy who refused to give a travel adopter and insisted to buy one and at the same time the other guest who borrowed it from reception came to return at their checkout. Post that the property is bang on at the airport and perfect stay if you have an early morning flight

The airport is very close to Terminals 2 and 3 (in fact it the only one that’s walking distance). Don’t expect a huge welcome after your long flight. In fact, don’t expect anything more than a bed. Poor service and rude staff: when I reached the airport, I tried to call the hotel several times for directions. No one picked up. Once I checked in at the reception, no hotel staff was assigned to help me find my room and explain the amenities to me. At night, when I wasn’t able to locate the switch to turn off one of the lights, so I called the front desk for help. Then I asked where the switch to the ceiling lights was located, the lady at the front desk said that ‘they would be on the wall’! When I tried to ask her specifically which wall, she got irritated and said ‘what do you want’. They don’t even offer a complimentary dental care set (all my baggage had been checked in and this a hotel that people usually use for layovers). When I asked for one at the reception, they told me I’ll have to come downstairs and buy it from the shop at the Hilton. It is appalling that they would expect us to pay premium rates for just a bed for the night! Would rather stay at the airport the next time.
