Sigiriya Village

Ambience is fantastic, staff is very helpful, gives authentic look of Srilankan Village, food is good.

Property location is good and ambiance is good but for vegetarian the options are limited. Overall experience of stay is good

Place is excellent and stay is also very good. Rooms were very good in a old village type houses. Food quality and options needs improvement.

One of the most serene and beautiful properties. the resort is in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees, birds and fauna. very welcoming staff, and overall pleasant stay.

The ambience was good; but the service and staff behaviour was very bad. A lot of locals who were not staying there were walking in and it created a really uncomfortable and unsafe atmosphere.

The property is beautiful. It is quite and calm giving you best views of sigiriya city. Sigiriya rocks view is amazing from property. They could work on getting intercom in rooms so that we can talk to reception. Otherwise the property is worth staying for.

I am interested but i have never been able to use discount coupon. I wrote to you but no one bothered to answer me. I wrote more than 3 times asking how to avail of discount. I entered code but nothing worked

Hotel is designed to give feeling as you were staying in a forest. Very soothing place to stay. Rooms, restaurant lobby are very attractive.

I stayed in the hotel for a single night as a part of my honeymoon trip to Sri Lanka and I wished I could have stayed longer. The whole ambience in the resort was so peaceful and everything in the resort had detailing around it. The rooms were beautiful and the staff behaviour was courteous. One can see monkeys. Peacocks in the resort too.

Great stay in Sigiriya. Everything's good, except wifi connectivity in the rooms.

We had one night stay at this property but wanted to stay more. The location, area everything is great. They actually do a justification of the name given as it has all the amenities or that. One can roam Around and feel being close to nature. The greenery and the view of Sigiriya fortress from the pool is beyond words. The breakfast is great and the staff is courteous. The amount charged is fully Worth the stay. Would love to stay here again in near future.

Sigiriya Village Resort is right in the middle of nature, in the forest where you get occasional visits from the wild elephants. Not to worry the elephants won't enter the resort premises. Step outside the Resort and you have a few local restaurants and shops for daily needs plus a small tuk-tuk stand. The resort has only cottages so any room you book rest assured you'll get your own Cottage which comes with a porch of its own and very comfortable reclining chairs. The resort itself is massive area-wise and to cover all of it will take you more than an hour by foot. All the cottages are surrounded by trees some of them are huge, then you have ponds scattered all over the resort property. You're surrounded by nature wherever you're located inside or outside the resort. The Lion Rock Fortress which is the main attraction of Sigiriya is around 2 km from the resort so you can even walk up to it. You can even spot wild elephants in the evening beyond the electrified fence once you come out of the resort and have taken around 20-30 steps towards the tuk-tuk stand. You get free Wi-Fi when you're in the lobby/bar/restaurant. The restaurant offers breakfast buffet and dinner buffet plus À la carte as per your preference. From the restaurant and the pool you get a majestic view of the lion rock fortress. The food itself is very tasty and you can select from a wide range of American, European, Asian, Indian and Sri Lankan cuisines. I guess all their food is sourced from local organic vendors. Coming to the staff, they are very friendly, professional and helpful. They can arrange your transportation such as tuk-tuk, cars or safari jeeps at reasonable rates you just have to reach out. Late or early check-in/check-out is no problem. The staff being so cordial will take care of any issues. We absolutely recommend Sigiriya Village Resort whenever you plan to stay in Sigiriya.

Location of stay near to Sigiriya palace, view of the mountain from the hotel is quite good. Hotel rooms maintained very neatly and it was great place to stay. We have planned for one day stay at hotel, after seeing the hotel, we have extended to stay one more day. Breakfast was really good with many varieties.

Clean swimming pool offers a beautiful view of the lion rock.

It was just the best I could stay at. The cottages will make you feel home. Dinner buffet was excellent.

My husband and I came to Sigiriya village for our 10th anniversary. We were spellbound by everything from the greenery and nature to the splendid views from our room and the swimming pool, the room with traditional architectural layout with high roofs and waxed floors and beautiful cane chairs. The experience was surreal and we just didn't want to leave. The staff was so cordial and polite always smiling. The food was awesome. The buffet layout was very appealing and we sinfully indulged in all that was on the buffet menu the 2 days we stayed there. The evening live music at the lobby was also very soothing. We danced as love birds from a different world just enjoying the ambience and relaxing our way through the holiday. We will go back to Sigiriya village when we have a chance again in the future. This extremely well maintained property is worth a visit. The flora and fauna around is wonderful as also the private sit-out area surrounded by exclusive lily ponds and tropical vegetation just adds to the beauty of the property. Just loved it.

Smelled old and musty. Bed was really uncomfortable.

We stayed for a night here. Extremely comfortable and pleasant. Did not have food here. Food slightly expensive here. However nearby lot of cafes where you get good food.
Extremely spacious property. Highlight is from the pool side you can see the Sigiriya rock. Very pleasant sight. The property is amazing and gives a very close to nature feel.
