Hotel Sigiriya

Went on a vacation to Srilanka with my extended family, and what a better place to start The moment we checked in, the place was thriving with nature and wildlife. It felt all so surreal. Pros: The rooms were very spacious, soundproof and well equipped. The hotel has an outstanding Pool with a view (of Sigiriya), Bar, Spa and a well equipped restaurant. They also provide other services like cab transport & safari, although we didn't try them. They offer good wifi and in-room dining service. The entire hotel is well secured, so safety is not of a concern inside the premises. The breakfast buffet spread is a must try. Not only do they offer a lavish spread, but the dishes are really flavourful. (The best breakfast we have had on our vacation) Cons: 1. Early check-in can be quite tricky. Better double check with the property on the date of travel. 2. Vegetarians have little options to choose from the in-room dining menu. (Although the breakfast buffet is really good)

The food was very good ... location too was amazing and there were amazing amenities like the swimming pool etc....

Hotel Sigiriya is one of the finest resort type hotel in Sigiriya. Had a wonderful experience of their hospitality during our stay. Has a great swimming pool with view of the famous hill. Food spread is wide, varied and scrumptious to our palette. They also provide driver accommodation. Overall experience with them was great!

Hotel stay was great, everything from spa to massage, from morning breakfast to pool side live performance and the most important excellent staff behaviour and some views with great comfortable cozy rooms..

Location is excellent because it's very close to the Sigiriya lion rock. We had a very a la carte dinner and the breakfast buffet. Both were very good with lots of options. The flavors were authentic and we really liked it. The options included continental and local cuisine. The room was very good also. It was not a King bed but two single beds put together, which was a little uncomfortable. The pool was really good with the best view of the Sigiriya Lion rock, we had fun in the pool.

Stay was comfortable and service was also good we just had a problem with billing. We had already paid at makemytrip and they asked us to pay again and take money back from make my trip

If you are brown you are not VVIP for the hotel. They give extra attention to white people. When we asked about the special welcome given to white people they said they are VVIP people. That’s the exact word from the lady in reception. We reached the hotel at 4PM after calling at 2:0 PM but still the room was not ready . They asked us to wait for 45 minutes for the room. I assume we are not the VvIP people. Overall this hotel only caters to white people’s le so if we wish to book the hotel be ready for treated as ordinary peoples even after paying 100s of dollars.

Rooms were clean and tidy but you don’t get good option of food for pure vegetarians

Overlooking the sigiriya fort is the main highlight/ less than a kilometre away from the lion rock.

The property is good overall. The location is nice, very close to sigiriya rock. The rock is visible even from the hotel. The rooms are spacious. They’ve preset triple rooms with 3rd bed nicely laid. Bathroom is good, shower area is separate.

this is an amazing place if you are choosing to stay in Sigiriya. The location is right next to Lion rock. The hotel has earthy vibe, very well maintaed. Staff is friendly food is amazing, limited options for vegeterians.

Only property is good from outside and the view other than that food is poor and the toilet was leaking.

Hospitality at its finest, with a breathtaking view and a mouthwatering spread of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Breakfast was great. Loads of choice. Outside pool area was good lots of beds and areas to relax.

Beautiful stay at hotel sigiriya, amazing view. The staffs were exceptionally calm and supportive. Highly recommend

They simply said that they are overbooked and they wont be able to give us the room. What they did with us is shifted us to other hotel. Behavior was really bad and we didnt like it at all.

The location of the property is very convenient. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. Overall a pleasant stay.

10/10 for location. Amazing view of the lion rock 8/10 for cleanliness. Overall property maintained, clean room, washrooms- floor cleaning could be better- we are indian, we prefer clean corners ocd 12/10 for service- whatever hiccups seen were immediately resolved buffet was good, smiling staff across property. We can recommend to our friends and family who visit sigiriya
