Royal Retreat Sigiriya

Because of my profession as a cabin crew, I’ve stayed in hotels since a decade now. This was the worst ever experience of me and my friends life! Hotel location, staff, food was all good but security was extremely bad. Three guys jumped the property fence/boundary at midnight and tried to enter our room forcefully after disconnecting the power of the room from outside which resulted in pitch darkness and no Wi-Fi!! We shouted but nobody came to help but those intruders somehow got scared and ran away, everything was caught on cctv. We had to register a police complaint and deal with all this. Seeing such high tariff, I thought it ll be exemplary but I only know how traumatising this whole situation was! Plus the staff later mentioned the property tariff was only per night, one third the amount charged !!!! Me & my friend managed to save ourselves. ive me my money back for this trauma and for messing up my whole holiday!!

I stayed at royal retreat sigra, the food was very good and all the staff talked nicely and sigiriya mountain rock hill is very close from there, 2 kilometers away, everything felt very good there

Nice ambiance very helpful people and staff too. Food was amazing. We are totally vegetarian so they make special food for us.

Very friendly staff. Recommended.

We were only guests in the complete property. No one else were there, it was not spooky. Ok type of accommodation.
