pool ,sauna, etc everything was under maintenance... nothing working. even on asking at reception they were like irresponsible regarding the same

It was overall a good stay. But they charged me 25 new zeal-and dollars instead of the mentioned 20 nzd. Breakfast is average. Despite charging so much they don’t provide any bottled water in the room. Neeraj is quite helpful. Room is warm and cosy. Big bed. Ample space. All amenities in time are excellent apart from the missing water. The toiletries are excellent. Love their fragrance. Overall a good stay. Will come again.

I recently stayed at holiday inn queenstown and have mixed feelings about my experience. I booked a lake-facing room three and a half months in advance, but unfortunately, the view was barely visible from the room allocated to me due to the room's lower altitude. Interestingly, it seemed that higher-altitude lakefront rooms were predominantly given to white guests, prompting concerns about potential racial profiling in room allocation. While the hotel compensated for the view issue with a coupon for drinks and snacks, the terms and conditions were unclear. The choices were limited to fries or wine/beer which was unexpected, and ideally, no conditions should have been applied as compensation for the inferior room. Breakfast was another letdown, with the same fixed menu repeated daily over my four-day stay. On a positive note, the staff were supportive, allowing a late check-out and even packing breakfast early for a sightseeing trip. I hope the hotel takes this feedback constructively for future improvements.

Location was superb! Housekeeping slow

Good value for money hotel with the best views of the lake and the mountains from your room. Good service with friendly staff. Check-in was OK. Given what we thought was a good room with a great view till it became too noisy with drilling work going on in the next rooms. The front desk staff on duty on 20th morning immediately changed the room to which was very nice and we enjoyed the next two days very much.
