igitally enabled self-service stay

A novel primarily digital-self service stay experience. I had to read the process of check-in at the entrance after a very long 16hr flight so this could get tedious for a long haul traveller. It would be better to share the entire process beforehand via an email. But !!!!! I had Danny and Zouya assist me quickly (yes there is human intervention too). Otherwise the entire experience was straightforward to follow with clear post-it instructions everywhere, such as "Push :)" at windows. The living hall (separate from your room) is very beautiful and highly functional with tea/coffee dispensers, refrigeration unit, a great street view, bowls and anything that you may not find in your room...The housekeeping staff "Yana" despite the language barrier was able to use technology to communicate with me and ensured I had a clean towel set everyday. This Hotel 171 is very conveniently located with eateries in walking proximity. Even the health conscious would find something here a few blocks away. Within a 2 mile walking radius you would find lots of tourist attractions too. Rooms,Toilet and sheets are clean enough for a very hygienic stay. The room itself is built on minimalist principles so you will be pleasantly surprised on how functional and spacious even a small room can be. For those who are not technology-savvy and don't have a roaming internet connection on arrival somethings may feel intimidating at first (the check-in/check-out process, the chrome casting to your room network, etc.,) but there's help available with a call that can be placed from the main living hall. This was my very first solo visit to Europe and If I'm visiting Rotterdam again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here once more.
