Hotel Name: New Rainbow Guest house,Penang,malaysia Upon my arrival, the hotel room provided to me was in a completely unacceptable and unhygienic condition. It was very dirty and had clearly not been cleaned after the previous guest checked out. The bed was messy, the floor was dusty, and the bathroom was in a horrible state. The room was in no condition to accommodate a new guest. Even before reaching the room, I had to wait over an hour for someone to appear at the reception. Despite calling multiple times, there was no response. Eventually, when I was able to speak with the hotel owner, he shockingly suggested that the room would only be cleaned the next day and insisted I check in as is. When I requested another room, I was asked to collect a key from a box and make my way to another room on the third floor without any lift—I had to carry all my heavy luggage up the stairs. Unfortunately, the second room was just as bad—dirty, and infested with cockroaches running on the bed. Again, there was no support or resolution from the hotel staff or owner despite multiple calls. Given these circumstances, I had no choice but to leave the property immediately and book another hotel at my own expense.
