Minimum of everything but grea....
1 night stay in a single room, first floor, street view. 200€ without breakfast (high season price).
Little bit disappointing hotel whiwh pretends to be a ‘boutique’ hotel but is very far from it.
2 positive points: location and clean rooms.
rooms are tiny ; the decoration, in the room and in the lobby, is a mix of old and modern, you can see they try to rejuvenate the hotel but it hasn’t been done everywhere and overall lack of maintenance. In addition, the ‘modern’ touches here and there, like the wallpaper in the corridors and rooms, are very obvious and agressive: not subtil, not warm, and in the end not modern or ‘boutique’
bathroom would need a good refresh, and i didn’t like the fact that the bath cap was removed from the tub and i could not use the bath, which would have been a great surprise in a single room.
Nice range of amenities though.
Towels and blankets too small: i am only 170cm so i guess taller guests my struggle...
Not very noisy, streets sounds and hotel sounds ok.
Did not try the breakfast because the lobby and the breakfast room were not very inviting.
I slept well, but paid too much and was disappointed by the general style and atmosphere of the hotel.

No German hospitality at this hotel. After travelling for 2 days because of weather trying to make it to this hotel we found that they gave our room away and refused to give us a refund. We had reservations for 2 nights and our travel agent notified the hotel that we would be a day late. When we arrived they had given our room away and refused to give us a refund. They are still claiming that Hotels.com did not notify them of our unfortunate occurrence. Funny enough the front desk receptionist knew of our predicament and discussed it with my wife that is why she turned pale when we arrived asking for our room. Definitely not the type of management integrity I feel comfortable doing business with. Buyers Beware.

THIS IS NOT A BOUTIQUE HOTEL. ....
This is NOT a boutique hotel. This is cheap, old rooming house. No internet, no working tv, no working phone, no working heat and no aircon.
Elevator keeps braking. Bed made with old sheets from previous guest.
(pubic hairs and blood) Staff don't care. They will always get suckers with their fake promises. And its noisy. No soundproofing. You hear everything from the other rooms and from the hallway noise. Possible a good place to pass out drunk and then leave in the morning. Read the reviews online on various sites. Thats all its good for.
Note: The one star is for the location.

We stayd 2 nights.
Really small room. Bad beds. My husband is tall and bed was too short for him.
Breakfast was ok.
Location of the hotel is perfect, short walking distance to everything.
Staff was friendly.

Boutique type hotel with smaller rooms but good price. Clean, comfortable, friendly and an awesome location ... garage parking is very close by. Tucked away from the crowds on a side street, but a two minute walk to Marienplatz and all the best drinking and dining venues it has to offer. For me particularly it’s beside one of my favourite cocktail bars “Pussers” which has been around for a very long time. I for one get tired of drinking beer pretty quickly, yet if that’s your thing the Hofbrau house is a one minute walk away. Enjoy!
