I spent a comfortable week at Sendlinger Tor. Apart from the pillows being awfully thin the bed was great and the room had everything I needed apart from a fridge.
The area is convenient for transport all over Munich, and walking distance from the main tourist attractions.

Excellent location & helpful s....
Because of the price we were worried about it. No need. Clean towels & sheets everyday Great staff, Superb location just around the corner from the Altstadt where there are loads of restaurants & cafes.. AND there is parking.

We booked a night here simply to stay to wait for a very late night train to Amsterdam, and our 12 or so hours was very pleasant. Simple cozy room, friendly staff, private washroom, two beds, and not huge on frills but honestly, I would put this in the "would stay here again" file.
I was unwell ( motionsick) so i wanted a quiet dark room and that's exactly what I got, and it was winter, and the heat was fine in the room.
As in all things hotels, you do get what you pay for, so larger rooms cost more, and most places I've discovered in europe do not do AC. This one does have an elevator, score for moderate accessibility ( or those wobbly from a rough time, be it octoberfest or train rides).

Perfect location, great price!
We booked this hotel for 3 nights, mid-week for Oktoberfest. Let me tell you, the location could not have been better! It is smack in the middle between Marienplatz and the festival grounds, about a 10-15 minute walk either way. If you are on a budget and not planning to spend a lot of time in the room other than sleeping and showering, this is the place for you!
The room itself was basic (kind of reminded me of a college dorm), with 2 separate beds, a bathroom with stand up shower, sink and toilet. It did have a small flat screen TV and lamp as well. Our shower did not have a basin in the bottom, but no water really escaped the curtain area. It would have been nice to have a fan in the bathroom because steam and moisture accumulated, but it was not a big deal and was always dry by the next time we used it. Yes, the bathroom is small, as mentioned on other reviews, but how much room do you really need? Larger people may be uncomfortable, but we had an adequate amount of room for ourselves and our bags. Everything was clean and orderly, and we did not have any problems with noise (we were on the top floor; not requested).
The reception at the hotel was friendly and allowed us to store our bags in a locked luggage room until our room was ready for check-in. They spoke fine English and were helpful in directing us around the immediate area. There is a place right across the street where you can get coffee and breakfast food, along with a variety of sandwiches. Would definitely stay here again!

No Trills , centrally located.....
If you want the Ritz spend three hundred plus euros. If you want a great quiet safe sleep centrally located 5 minutes from the action stay here. The room is a comfy bed, clean , safe , with TV. Really great staff fluent in English , really helpful ,they printed out my boarding pass for me. The hotel is 2 minutes from the underground is a nice neighborhood. I really liked this place and the staff made it. I shall return.
