Best value

Great location with easy access to all the restaurants in the Port area. Overall the hotel was clean and my room was comfortable offering excellent value. I definitely will be back next time I visit Marseille.

Wonderful stay in central Mars....

We had a wonderful stay. Would definitely come back. The hotel is located in a very central area, so it's a little noisy outside. But with the windows closed, it was quiet. We did not book breakfast, so I cannot comment on that.

Disappointment of a 3 Star Hot....

The good: Breakfast was good and staff were kind and mostly bilingual (which was an added perk) The bad: Woken up by maid service twice. First time was our fault because we didn't realize that the do-not-disturb sign had two sides meaning completely different things. One meant do-not-disturb, other meant "please make room." The next day we had the correct side out, but the same thing happened. At 9am. When we were trying to sleep on our vacation. But we're woken up by someone knocking and opening the door to make the bed etc. Then in the afternoon of our second day they decided to do a fire alarm drill for the staff. They didn't inform the guests at all. We were napping in the middle of the afternoon on our bed when the fire alarm starts going off. We quick change and have to grab our valuables in case. We run down the stairs and as we get to the front desk are informed it is just a drill. The least they could have done is given us some advaced notice that they were having a drill. Even phoning our room would have worked. It's not that huge of a hotel and didn't seem to be that full so it wouldn't even have taken much work. Their is no way of knowing what kind of anxiety someone has because of their past with regard to being woken by a fire alarm. They also had an advertised ice machine in the women's restroom. I guess if you aren't a female you can't get it. I get that fitting things in older buildings can be tough so that didn't bug me. We got back from a busy day and found out we couldn't get any ice for a cold drink since they didn't even have it turned on. Please don't advertise things you don't have working. This was on the 3rd floor. On a similar note, their guide book told us that there was a safe in our closet. After looking, their actually wasn't. So we were without luck when we wanted to lock out passports up. Overall this was a small annoyance, but it was an annoyance all the same and worth mentioning as such. In summation / TLDR: I would not suggest staying here. The city was pretty and worth visiting. The hotel, on the other hand, was not.

Superb Location

Right in the best part of Marseille for holidaymakers. Lots of noise during the day, I think events were happening below our window during our stay. Quiet at night when it mattered. Clean and spacious room (superior) with views over the harbour. Very helpful staff helped sort a taxi problem for us. Breakfast had a small but adequate choice. Only two minor niggles - paper cups in the room - ugh, and the room was crying out for somewhere to hang coats, dressing gowns etc, what a difference a hook would have made! Not enough to spoil our stay though and would recommend.

One night in Marseille

Easy to find, great staff, centrally located. Stayed here one night before getting on a cruise. Cute little boutique hotel.. if we weren’t so jet lagged we would have appreciated Marseille more. Staff spoke English and were friendly.
