Thori Resort

Good location. Near to Bhutan gate.

We stayed for 4 nights, we got birds eye view of Thimphu city but resort amenities have soured our experience. No electricity back up and absence of proper room service made our stay difficult. Need to improve on room service and menu options.

Our room was Executive room. We enjoyed the stay, we can see the aerial view of Thimpu city also view of statue of Lord Buddha Dorderma, which was excellent.

I had many problems during the stay. Staff was not responsive, they turned off heater when we were out and made the room very cold. Staff billed double the cost from the menu for the breakfast and dinner. For checkout they didn't even wake up when we left. We had to open all doors and leave the key on desk. Location is too far very hard to reach. If you don't have your own car/dedicated cab don't even think about booking it.

We stayed here for two nights and must say, we were quite satisfied with our stay and would recommend the hotel. The best thing undoubtedly is the location. View from the rooms is simply superb. Rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is courteous. Food is delicious, though you have to wait for food quite a lot. The cook was friendly enough to cook the food as we wanted, out of the menu. The only problem that we faced was that some times and in some rooms, hot water wasn't coming through the tap. But the issue could be resolved with smooth assistance of the staff. Recommended.

Nice and cozy stay what welcomes us in our honeymoon destination. It was wonderful. A bit over expensive food as per quality I must say. But the service was too good and the manager come receptionist Ugyen was really a nice person. Great view and peacefully serene.

The hotel located bit far away from Thimphu central. The hotel is situated at the same level of the Buddha statue. The view from the hotel is an eye treat. You can have a full panoramic view of the Thimphu city and Buddha statue, just in front of your eye. Clean and pleasant hotel room and washroom is very clean. It's worth the every penny. Try the Bhutanese dishes over there.

Location of this hotel is too good. Hotel is very good.

Beautiful place to stay with friends and family also. But avoid food. Service is good.

Everything was good, the location, food, staff but it would be much better if there were more staff.

Thori is quite far from the town. But once you reach there the view is worth it. You will be staying right in front of Buddha point. The rooms are big and spacious but it looked quite old and not well maintained. They need to work on maintenance of the hotel.

Awesome food and service, served Indian food from the restaurant, staff are helpful.

Whole city is viewed from the resort, perfect service, tasty Indian food is served.

Location was superb, I stayed four nights with the love of nature, Resort is surrounded by apple tree with fresh apple, food is awesome.

Very peaceful location and amazing view of the entire City of Thimphu. Superb, well maintained and spacious rooms and we enjoyed our stay there. Limited service, but good privacy. You need to plan and order your food in advance to avoid delays. Great place to stay.

Hotel is good for staying. Food is ok. View is amazing. Location wise a bit far from main City Thimpu. Thus the car driver may ask for extra charge. You can enjoy bronze made buddha idol from room, which is spectacular at night. The service and basic amenities are good.

Only positive is the view from the hotel veranda. Other then that roads are terrible. Most taxi drivers would charge 300-400 to reach there from city. Room service is awefull as they told that the hotel as shortage of staffs. Food quality is low and cost of food is very high even with Bhutan standards.

Top far from Town. Terrible Road to get there. Food was okay. Rooms were okay, nice view. But the view was not Worth traveling so far.

Clean and nice hotel room and staff were also very supportive.

Good place to enjoy peaceful vacations. Cool, peaceful.
