Pinewood Experiential Stay and Hideouts

Hotel charged extra for heater which was not mentioned earlier while booking. In colder region heater is expected in rooms, it was 4 degree temperature and hotel asked extra per room per day for heater, also in one of the room guider was also not working on complaint they sorted it second day however this experience spoiled our mood.

Price may seem a little discounted but don't go for it. 13. 02. 2020 at around 3 Pm we reached the location. It is around 4 km far from the main town in Paro. The property has a central building in Bhutanese style and some small rooms at the right side of it. The rooms were closed and I did not found the reception of it. Then after going towards the central building I saw one women was sitting inside and having some lunch. I rang the door bell twice, she did not listened. Then after a while she noticed us and opened the door and said you are the new guest. We nodded. Then she took us to a family room with two inter connected rooms and a shared toilet but they gave just one room to us (though we have booked room for three). But again the interconnected room no.2 can be given to any other person that mean basically you are sharing your toilet with outsiders. There was non to carry the luggage for us and we had to pick the luggage through a small ladder styled staircase to the first floor (but we did not). We asked the women for lunch as we planned to have lunch after reaching hotel. She told us there is no one to cook lunch and we should have it outside, all staffs are on leave. In this circumstances I called help service and they told me you have just booked rooms not food so we can not do anything for you. You die staying there or walk 4 km to town (if your car leaves you) to full fill your needs. Then I came down and decided to stay in a hotel within the town. Later made a conference call with me and hotelier Mr. Bidyash. Were the hotelier had pre decided not to refund us a penny against two nights full amount and keep justified his position. I was a frequent traveler of but from now on I would hand over my money just after being satisfied with the services I got but not on the false promises.

It was decent property with very nice view of mountains, the location is little far from main town but that compensates with the kind of view you get from here, we didn't avail the food services but the overall experience was very good, it's worth to book this property, the only feedback is the broken road which connects with the main road.

Nice and comfortable stay. It is a bit away from airport. Good location. Staff is very cooperative and helpful.

I stayed there for a total of 4 days. The hotel management is extremely kind and thoughtful. You can see snowy mountains from the stay. It's 4 km from Paro Town which makes it the best part staying away from the crowd and still getting to be a part of it when need be. Pinewood gave me a beautiful experience in Paro. The room was beautiful and big with extremely clean bathroom and a hall with a sofa set (separate than the main room). There were heaters and everything else that was needed for a warm stay on cold winter nights.

Place is isolated. Very peaceful. Mountains at your doorstep. Getting to it from the city is tough, need a vehicle of your own. Taxi charges for a drop of pickup would be 250 each time.

I would highly recommend this place if in Paro, very nice people, very homely excellent food, nice location and fantastic room.

The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the host and his family are really friendly and cooperative. The food is also really good.

Place is situated in isolated places And we could See some rats inside the room. When informed to management no action was taken.

This hotel gives you a peaceful Stay. Hotel is situated 4kms away from Paro City. Staffs are very friendly. Value for money.

The Stay is away from the main Town, And thus, beautiful in its own way. The interiors are Pinewood And give you the feel of staying in a cottage. The family running it is very friendly And assure that you have the best time there. Strongly recommended.

Had a great Stay at Pinewood, lovely people lovely hospitality. Very tasty indian food. Very much recommended for all the people visiting Paro, Bhutan.

It was an amazing experience

Please confirm about the location before booking because it is 3km away from the city. One can not enjoy the city. They charged us extra for room heater although it was mention in the room service. And when we said we already paid for the same. They said you booked hotel after discount so we will not provide you the heater you have to pay extra. We do not like their hospitality.

Food was good but took sometime to prepare food, nice people, very support and helpful, if you want to be stay away from city and be stayed on isolated place then this is for you.

Peaceful stay. Few kms away from Paro City but easily accessible by getting a local cab.
