Wat een verrassende B&B op een mooie plek in gastronomisch Antwerpen! Super verzorgd door de eigenaar van wie de Prince d'Anvers een voorouder is. En natuurlijk is het snachts niet rustig door de geluiden vd stad maar de kamer, badkamer, hartelijke ontvangst en heerlijk ontbijt daar kan niks tegenop! Bedankt!

Ein schlechter Gastgeber

Obwohl ich am Samstag dem Gastgeber telefonisch gemeldet habe, dass wir ab 20 Uhr anreisen, wartete er nicht auf uns und schaltete sogar sein Telefon ab. Auch meine Kollegin in Belgien telefonierte vorher mit ihm. Die Abmachung war, dass meine Kollegin sich bei ihm melden würde, sobald wir in die Stadt einfahren. Es ist nicht unsere Schuld, dass die Swiss Maschine eine Stunde Verspätung hatte. Der Gastgeber hatte sogar die Telefonnummer meiner Kollegin, er hätte also bei Problemen anrufen können. Stattdessen hat er einfach ein Mail geschickt, ohne zu überlegen, das wir als Ausländer kein Internet haben. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht, dass es mit dieser Übernachtung nicht geklappt hat. Was eine tolle Überraschung für meine Frau hätte werden sollen. wurde ein Albtraum. Statt in dem schönen Haus haben wir in Stekene auf dem Boden bei unseren Kollegen geschlafen. Am nächsten Tag haben wir uns dann um eine andere Unterkunft bemüht. Grüsse. Herr Amaro Dominguez Even though I called our host on Saturday that we will be arriving at about 8 p.m. he didn’t wait for us and even turned off his phone. My friend in Belgium called him beforehand and they agreed that she would call him as soon as we reached the city. It is not our mistake that our Swiss flight was delayed by an hour. The host even had my friends phone number to call in an emergency. But he just sent an e-mail to me without realizing that as foreigners we don’t have internet. We are very disappointed that it didn’t work our with our stay. What should have been a nice surprise for my wife was in the end a nightmare. Instead of staying at a beautiful house we stayed in Stekene sleeping on the floor of our friends apartment. The following day we looked for another accommodation. Best regards M. Amaro Dominguez

Beautiful, eclectic, romantic ....

My husband and I stayed here for one night at this B&B. The front door was a bit hard to find as there are renovations happening outside but the host kindly sent a text message in advance of our arrival to help us find our way. The room... what can I say? It is one of a kind and beautifully decorated. Makes you feel like royalty. There was a sink and resting area, a gorgeous bathtub and shower, and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The host was kind and friendly. The breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to any couple looking for a unique romantic and special place to stay the night.

Buena ubicación, acceso difici....

Pasamos una noche. El checkin debe ser cercank a las 16h pues sino no hay madie para abrir. No hay recepción, es solamente un bloque de 3 plantas, cada planta una habitación. El acceso es muy difícil, escaleras empinadas y estrechas, sin ascensor. Una vez legas a la habitación es otra cosa, decoracion ambientada a la antiguedad, grande, limpia.. La ubicación cerquisima al centro. El check out es por ti mismo, cerras la puerta y dejas las llaves en un buzon

Bad behaviour and bad service

I called the owner to inform him that I was not able to travel and had to cancel the reservation. He told me to do the cancellation on In the meantime he promised to check if he could shift my 2 nights and promised to let me know by the next sunday. On Sunday I didn't get any feedback. I wrote a sms. No answer. I called. No answer. I wrote another sms. No answer. I wrote an email through booking. No answer. I wrote again a sms. No answer. I had to call the owner with the hidden number, to get him on the phone and communicate with him. He ignored me for 8 days. What happen next was even worse. He first acted as he would not remember me and the situation and then he admitted that he didn't take care about my messages and blamed me because I called him with the hidden number (I had no other chance). Incredible. Never something like this happen to me. I want to remark that I was polite and gentle and I was surprised by his "don't care at all" attitude. I want also to remark that I was fine if he would have told me that there was no solution. But it's absolutely not OK to ignore customers and act like this. Unpolite and unfair behaviour and really bad service. This review is not about the property itself, but about the service which is part of the price you pay for. Really bad experience. Frederic (the owner) showed to be only interested in the money and at least in this case he didn't take care at all about his customers. I hope he will change his attitude..
