Aging but compared to others i....
I find most places in Sydney impossible to find parking especially for free. I love that at Ultimate you can drive your car up to the door and the place is amazingly secure. The place is behind lockable gates and considering the area it is fabulous to feel so safe.
The showers are strong and fantastic. Hot and I had no problems with the shower doors or anything else in the bathroom. The kitchenette is fantastic and supplies all the crockery, plates, cutlery you need a cold fridge and microwave. Just bring your own food sugar marg etc. Nothing wrong with that. The TV and lounge are OK. All the channels and good reception. The air conditioning was noisey but as the weather was hot it was lovely and cold so I didn't care about the noise. The bed is firm so great. The amount of cupboard storage brilliant.
So now the not so great. The air con leaked outside so you had to care not to get wet when coming in and out. Not a big problem. The biggest sadness was access to the pool. The pool and deckchairs were lovely and clean but to get in there was only a ladder with two round rungs that only went halfway down and we knew as we are a bit older that if we went in we would not be able to get out. That was very sad. Sitting on the side at least we could have our legs in but we didn't dare try to go any deeper. Some strong fit people managed but children and older people just couldn't make it in. Such a shame.

I'm not a negative reviewer, but I will call a spade a spade.
I'll give this property one star for location and one star because I've stayed in worse, once, although that was a long time ago.
The website does not feature images of the apartments for a good reason. To say this place is "tired" could be the understatement of the decade.
Paint peeling from the walls and ceilings, leaking faucets, faulty power points, lights that don't work, loose bathroom tiles and a toilet door you have to wrestle shut are key features.
Outside you will find balustrading that won't meet building code, slip hazards on the stairs and ooooh, an abandoned car! When you add guests who think it's okay to fire up their beats at 4.15am, and disinterested management, you have the complete package. Whoa...wait, no sugar, tea, coffee, milk or even a water jug. Nearly forgot.
And please don't bore me with the whole "it's Bondi" routine, that doesn't wash. At 3 nights for the price of 2 it would still be overpriced.

Really good location & was ple....
Stayed here 5th December until 8th December 2017. I was apprehensive about arriving at these apartments, after reading all the bad reviews but I was actually pleasantly surprised. If we returned to Bondi Beach, we would stay here again because of the cost and being central based.
Decor is a bit tired
Pool is in the middle of the car park
Socket not close to bed
Had to stand on the bed to close the windows
. Fantastic location and so handy for everything.
. Large room
. Bus stop right outside
. Comfy bed
. Extra pillows
. Plenty of storage
. Lots of lighting
. Receptionists were friendly and very helpful

A good basic place to stay
We have stayed here a few times over the past 10 years. The place is in need of an upgrade as it is now a bit tired. Still good value with pool and free parking just a short walk to Bondi beach. Save some of your hard earned money for touristy things

You get what you pay for
There was no way in when we arrived. Note on gate says check letterbox for envelope with your name. Nope nothing there. No bell or buzzer to get in. We were fortunate someone was coming back from shopping so we could get into the office.
Position wise, only maybe 10 minute walk to Bondi Beach and plenty of eateries and supermarkets. "Apartment" would be a loose term. A dated room that had a lick of paint. Aircon that had seen its day 20 years ago and was too noisy to leave on. But it was a room for a night at a cheap price compared to everything else in the area.
