Perfect for a romantic getaway
These cottage stays are amazing and the service fantastic. My husband organised 2 nights as a surprise and the staff arranged wood for the fire, chocolate dipped strawberries, dinner, food for us to cook in the morning...... it really was the perfect stay. The service was great and the bed comfortable. Great for time away from the real world.

Great location nestled in the bush, all the cottages are stand alone which gives you more privacy, we had the fire going as it gets cold there, excellent restaurants not far in Olinda plenty to choose from but book a table as they get busy on weekends. We drove to a winery in Yarra Glen it was fantastic great wine excellent food, the cottages are old probably need a little re-vamp. I would stay there again without doubt.

Cute little cottage
We stayed here for 1 night in the Magnolia cottage. It was a bit confusing trying to find it, weren’t many signs. Maybe more would help just to know which path to follow. Also the spa bath jets did not work at all which was very disappointing. We ordered pizza from Monbulk Pizza using the menu provided in the cottage, we ordered a certain deal and they had updated their menu so this wasn’t available - please make sure you have the new menus in the cottages. It was a very nice place, bath robes and extra towels provided. The breakfast provided was great too, all condiments were located in the cupboard. It wasn’t clear what was provided complimentary and what was included in the mini bar so I didn’t know what I was getting charged for. You guys should think about installing Netflix and or/Foxtel, just for a bit of variety instead of the usual channels. We would’ve loved to borrow a DVD from reception but no one was there, although it was a Saturday evening so understandable. Would most likely stay here again, but maybe in another cottage with the larger spa bath.

stayed at cottages monreal rec....
Been a visitor / guest here for at least 10 years. The cottages have changed hands and the property has been run down, lawns not mowed,, plants dying,(lack of water) a caretaker does not live on the property, all windows were dirty, broken wood and branches lying around, leaves on paths, placed looked very untidy and not professionally presentable, back of wood fire wall was spatted with ash, not clean, light globes blown, tomatoes removed from breakfast basket menu, mini bar removed since yarra ranges accomodation company took over from prior owner, who was a lovely lady, less wood given to guests for wood fire, spiders and cobwebs inside and outside of cottage, no more bath robes or slippers given, bacon given for breakfast basket was unsealed and opened, oakbrook pond has rubbish in it, cottage had only 1 red wine glass for guest, no toilet cake hand soap, garden rubbish left all over the property upon arrival around carpark and paths leading to cottages on the property. the place needs TLC care badly. I will update this later after I review and visit again. I have advised booking management and got a silly and not professional reply. WIFI was not going, accommodation manual for WIFI etc
Could not access Wifi. not at cottage. This place needs a live in caretaker. For TLC.

We wanted a place to stay that we could relax away from everything. We stayed in tranquility cottage and that is just what we got. It was quiet, private and all we could here was the sound of the birds. The cottage was spacious and and very comfortable. We will be staying again soon. Looking forward to a winter stay so we can get the wood heater going as well.
