Worth It for the View, Not the Food We stayed at ERA Resort by Stride, Munnar, and the property itself is truly beautiful. If you’re someone who loves being close to nature, this place is a gem — the location is absolutely stunning. From the resort, you get a full mountain view that’s simply breathtaking. Just for the views and peaceful surroundings, it feels completely worth it. The staff are polite, humble, and always ready to help — that definitely adds warmth to the experience. However, a few areas need attention. The rooms weren’t as clean as expected; there was a mild odor and we had to request extra cleaning. The biggest area of improvement is definitely the food. The “high tea” they mention isn’t really up to the mark — feels like it’s just for namesake. The restaurant needs to improve its food quality, and vegetarian options are quite limited. Breakfast is decent, not exceptional. Though the property is marketed as a five-star experience, the overall service and attention to detail feel closer to a three-star level. Still, for the location, scenery, and the peaceful connection with nature, it’s worth visiting at least once — especially if you just want to relax and spend quality time with your loved ones.

Our stay at ERA Resort by Stride in Munnar was truly exceptional. The location is serene, calm, and surrounded by natural beauty, making it an ideal retreat for those who love peace and nature. The food was outstanding, flavorful, and freshly prepared. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite, which added a luxurious touch and enhanced the overall comfort of our visit. The staff were remarkably polite, calm, and always helpful, providing service that was both attentive and warm. The cool, misty climate created a magical atmosphere, with fog and fresh mountain air adding to the charm of the stay. The resort offers a special area for bonfires, and the viewpoints for both sunrise and sunset were simply breathtaking. Watching the valley from above, covered in mist, while experiencing the awe-inspiring sunrise and sunset, was truly unforgettable. Overall, ERA Resort by Stride beautifully blends tranquility, comfort, and excellent hospitality, making it a highly recommended destination for anyone visiting Munnar.

I have stayed 3 days in this resort, resort location is so far from city and also they don't have any transportation facilities. Maintenance and basic requirements are not up to the mark. I will not suggest this resort.

The property is located a little far from city center and the roads to reach the resort are little interior. But the location, view of the surrounding mountains and staff hospitality is very good.

The hotel offered a delightful breakfast each morning, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. The swimming pool was pristine and inviting, ideal for a relaxing swim. The highlight was the stunning sunset point, where I enjoyed breathtaking views each evening.

Good resort, staff needs more training on the facilities like jacuzzi. No one explained how to use it till we asked, and even then it was a bit of a struggle. Food was decent, could be better. Great location with the sunset view point. Worth the amount spent.

Very nice stay @ era resort by stride. Me and my family stayed @ sundrop pool villa. The pool villa was very spacious, washrooms and rooms was very neat and clean. The sunset point (view point of resort) was awesome they were treated with complimentary tea and snacks at the view point with lots of nostalgic sweets and snacks. From the reception staff onwards each and every staff was very polite and cooperative. Especially the restaurant staff was excellent. Altogether it was superb.
