The location is super, peaceful and beautiful views of backwaters. I dont know why KTDC not maintaining the rooms . Rooms urgently requires renovation..this shows the laxity of the ktdc chairman. property situated in a good location due to poor administration by ktdc and tourism ministry proper renovation is not done in this property Good behaviour from restaurant staff, and good breakfast and dinner and more items to be included .

1. Lighting is poor in the room 2. Almirahs could not be closed properly 3. Ambiance is excellent 4. Food quality is average and there was no salt in puttu

I had one of the most disappointing experiences at Bolgatty Lake Resort, KTDC. We had booked a room specifically to conduct a maternity photoshoot one of the most precious moments of our life. My wife (pregnant), my daughter, and I were present. At check-in, we clearly informed the staff about the photoshoot. They mentioned a charge , which we were absolutely ready to pay in advance. However, once we started the shoot, the management began shouting at us , without any consideration for the fact that a pregnant woman was present. The General Manager and security staff behaved in an unprofessional, aggressive way What is most shocking is that: • They never clearly explained the procedure for photoshoot charges during check-in. • For food and snacks, they easily posted the charges to the room bill. Why couldn’t the same be done for the photoshoot charge? • Instead of handling the matter politely, they chose to spoil our day with rude behavior and arrogance. We had no problem paying for a half-day photoshoot (our stay was from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM), but the staff’s attitude and treatment ruined what should have been a happy, memorable occasion. This kind of insensitive, unprofessional behavior is unacceptable in a hospitality industry, 💔 Our precious maternity moment was completely spoiled because of their arrogance. I’m sharing this review so that future visitors especially families and couples are aware of the poor management and rude behavior here. If you are planning a special occasion or expecting warmth and professionalism, I strongly suggest rethinking your choice.

The property is really beautiful . It’s maintained well. The service was prompt Breakfast spread was good Only drawback was the receptionist gave us two room keys way after check in They kept us waiting for close to 45 mins

I stayed in a Golf View room, which covered all the essentials but felt dated and could benefit from refurbishment. The restaurant offered an impressive spread, though the taste was just about average. With a few upgrades, this place could be an exceptional getaway.

Calm and clean resort. Well maintained property. Staff at the resort were welcoming and gentle. Food was average.

Pros: The room is neat and clean, though compact( for 5k plus per night). Assured a marine view room, but it was lake view and facing Marine drive location, but was a decent view. The complementary breakfast was okay but Munnar KTDC was better with a decent live counter. Here live counter options were limited. Cons: Staff behaviour was okay but below average. We checked in at 6 30pm, yet they insisted checkout by 11am or latest by 1pm. Bill was offered but not delivered on hand. Some guest were smoking from balcony above and this was disturbing. And few were shouting in the corridor till 2am midnight. The room was cleaned only after we left. Altogether a below average comfort was offered. Ideal only for Guv employees on a official visit. Not good for a staycation.

Experienced an island stay at Bolgatty palace. It's have everything you need it in a resort. In particular kids friendly. Swimming pool, play area , cycling .. We stayed in a Executive Garden view Room, many other options are there. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Only buffet option available for dine in, for other dishes room service option is there. Foods was tasty. Thanks to KTDC and MMT
