Radisson Hotel York

The hotel has a really good location - it’s less than a 5 minute walk to the city centre. The staff is friendly and helpful. We booked a river view room, which was clean and spacious. This is a minor point but i really liked the hotel decor in grey, with tastefully done black and white images all around. Definitely recommend.

The room allotted to me was bad. It was the very first room on the floor with no views. At midnight there were sounds of water clogging and cleaning of drainage pipes. I think when you book hotels through travel websites, the room allocated is the worst one in the hotel. The bathroom was so tiny, no space to move around. Insufficient lightning in the room. The location and services are good.

Positive nice riverside hotel in the heart of the city. Rooms size are OK as compared to other European hotels. Around 5 minutes walking distance from station and 2 minutes from all major attractions. Negative there was a fire alarm in the midnight which disturbed all the residents with no clue. Later on it turned out to be false alarm. Nobody at front desk to inform about the fire alarm. Only after 10 minutes it was turned off.
