ibis budget Basel City

This is a budget friendly and close to Basel SBB. Very good for this budget point. Good options for food and connectivity.

I booked the accommodation for my daughter’s stay, as she had to attend a Winter School at Basel University. Being her first visit, the main points which we were looking - close proximity to the University for easy commute, accommodation right into the Basel city, good Tram connection to explore the city, safety and security, Indian restaurants nearby and of course total cost. I am glad that all these conditions were fulfilled. Her stay was very pleasant and comfortable. It was a triple occupancy room, where she and one of her friend stayed. The hotel also provided a free city pass, which they utilised for their daily commute to University by Tram. The hotel also provides a Type J adapter which is required in Switzerland. Rest all amenities were exactly as mentioned on the Hotel website. All in all, she had a wonderful experience. Thanks to Hotel Ibis budget Basel city and MMT.

Room was very clean n neat. Also hotel staff was very helpful as we are new here, they guided us very well. Also allow us early check in without any extra charge.

Not so clean sheets seems have changed long back couldn’t sleep

Room size was small and no tea and coffee cattle was available in room. Toiletries were also not available.

Room is good but small

It is a good budget stay with a decent room. The breakfast is nice and the staff is really lovely and helpful.

As its in the name its a budget hotel. It is good for the money we pay in an expensive city like basel. Room is good and bathroom is very small but they are clean. If someone is stout/fatty they can’t enter into bathroom. It is very small.

We had a pleasant stay in that hotel with good services of the hotel staff. The breakfast provided was worth spending and with lot of varieties. The hotel is located in a prime location for easy access to different places.

1. Very small rooms, hardly any amenities. 2. Just a bed in the room, ideal for lone travellers. 3. Centrally located. 4. Not much of customer support. 5. Chef very supportive

Room is very small. They charged extra money as tourist tax even after paying the taxes over makemytrip

I liked this budget hotel at Basel. The location is good. Near Basel SBB. You need to take bus preferably no 10, get down at Munchensteinerstrasse. Need to go back from this stop and cross the bridge, you can see ibis budget. Staffs are very cordial. They will provide a basel city tour card as well. Rooms are small but good enough for night stay. Stuffs allowed to keep luggage also without any charge. You can get iron, hairdryer on request too. Overall highly satisfactory. One point: same as other ibis budget hotels, no lock for shower and toilet room, which sometimes difficult to manage with kids.

Just the necessary space and utilities (bare necessities). Good location and walkable to the Central Railway Station. Lovely and helpful front office staff. Overall just the place if you do not like to splurge but want value for money.

Location is good and stay was nice. We did not have food.

Booked this only for location. Its walk-able from Basel Station and we used this as central point for travel to other cities in Switzerland. Basic room, very clean.

It was a good experience, nice to stay. Good atmosphere.
For a budget hotel, it was good. Eating area had a microwave and kettle which was very good for eating a meal and having tea. Good experience.
