We were really happy of our choice. The reception was under..smile...The room was clean and with all you need for a very nice stay. They keep the commune facilities clean and you have a kitchen if you want to cook with a market just in front. You will found also free drinking water cold or hot..
The only negative could be the distance to the city center, but the metro service, 15 to 20 minutes walk, bring you all over the sites. To get to the hostel from metro station: cross the street in front, walk toward your right to the next jonction, cross on the other side and turn left. On your way there is black fence on your right, at the end of it, look on your right, you will see the door. Ennjoy!

Give it a miss
Before I got to Saint Petersburg the guy I was emailing at the hostel was incredibly friendly and helpful to the point that he even went to the left luggage room at the Baltic Station to get some information for me (he was already going to meet a friend but even so!).
However, I have to say I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there.
There is no common room, just a kitchen and the hostel appears to be full of people who actually live there - nothing wrong with that but I had some very wierd middle-of-the-night experiences with the two guys with whom I was sharing an 8 bed dorm. As a female solo traveller who always takes the cheaper option of a mixed dorm, I have never had any problems whatsoever ...until Hostel Metro Tour.
With the metro system it is easy enough to find the hostel once you come prepared, however, if I go back to the beautiful city of Saint Peterburg I will be staying somewhere else.
