Budget performance at the Circ....
Spent 5 nights here in June. Probably the best feature is the location, just across the road from the underground station. Room was clean but basic and rather cramped, too small for two people for that long a stay. Also a bit noisy facing on to the main street. Breakfast a bit of a dismal affair, but there is a cafe/bar on hand in the basement. Staff helpful albeit limited English spoken.

Classic Hotel Circus in Tsvetn....
We stayed five nights and enjoyed well. Paul and other support staff girls were very helpful. Always go extra bit to find things for us and explain in English. Spotless room, bathroom and breakfast room associated areas. Handy to Metro and Auto busses to travel to Red Square. Plenty of eateries, shops and banks. Beautiful park on the opposite side decorated with lights for the opening of the famous circus on October 17th.

We choice this hotel after looking for a long time for an affordable hotel near the center. This one pop up and we didn't hesitate (although had few reviews online). But was a good choice. Tt's a small hotel in an old building, that was renewed and there was no lift. The rooms are very clean, roomy and comfortable; it had breakfast included, with a lot of food. The staff is friendly, nice and helpful; and they speak english :) Big thumbs up. The wifi works perfectly in the rooms.
An warning, the entrance to the hotel is in the back (and there isn't the English name); so take with you the name in Russian to ask around if you can't find it.

Severas days in Moscow
It was a nice hotel in the centre of Moscow. Reasonable price for a cozy room. Excellent to spend a night. Recommend it a lot. From that place you can get to the most important and interesting places in the centre of Moscow.

Overall, after staying I feel ....
I decided to choose this hotel after considering at least one hundred hotels in Moscow.
In fact, as it's well known, in the city the prices are high, and in particular on the one hand the category "dorm" (heritage of the Soviet past?), on the other the category of luxury hotels (or anyway expensive) are well-represented. So in the end I was glad to have found this hotel, that is a couple of metro stops away from the Kremlin (or, if you prefer, also in walking distance) and also fits to customers with an average spending power (the rate was the equivalent of about 125 Euros a night for a triple room).
Overall after staying I feel happy with this choice. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is decent, the staff is friendly, the rooms are flawless, the breakfast, while not particularly rich, it is acceptable for a three star.
Of course, the lack of an elevator isn't lovely; but to climb up for a floor or at most for two is feasible.
I stayed at this hotel five nights; four nights in a row, over a night. The first time I had a quite spacious room, and also overlooking the side opposite to the road, so very quiet. And, an almost luxurious feature, there was also a sort of terrace (no view special though: just tall buildings).
The second time I had a room that looked out on Tsvetnoi Bulvar (Boulevard), then louder. But the presence of double glazing, however, softens the problem.
In conclusion, I think that, if I went back to Moscow, I could choose again this hotel.
