My Four-Night Stay at Granbell Hotel Osaka
Amit Ninawe
I spent four nights at the Granbell Hotel Osaka, and here is my complete review. The reception is located on the third floor, which also serves as the amenities area. The reception staff were cooperative and did their best to make the check-in process smooth. The Granbell Hotel Osaka offers an amenities buffet with face cleansers, hair cleansers, dental kits, shaving kits, small towels, hair bands, and more, all accessible for guests as needed. There is also a complimentary water, tea, and coffee station at the reception available to all residents. The rooms, however, were somewhat congested. We were two people with three bags and could not open more than one at a time. There is no wardrobe for clothes or shoes, only a few hangers on a rod near the main door. The dining table is small, and the chairs provided felt more suited for children. That said, the bed and bathroom made up for the lack of space. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were exceptionally relaxing. The toilet was the modern Japanese style with multiple functions, and the shower had a reliable supply of both hot and cold water to suit your needs. Breakfast was mostly bread and Japanese-style dishes. There was a selection of breads, buns, and baguettes, accompanied by cheese and other Japanese items. Surprisingly, no fruits were offered, but there were fresh juices and a variety of teas available. In terms of location, the Granbell Hotel Osaka is about a 10-minute walk from Hommachi Metro Station. Some entrances are closer, around five minutes away, but these close after 7 p.m., so the walking distance can vary depending on the time of day. Overall, the stay would have been much more comfortable with a bit more space in the room, but the amenities, service, and location made it a decent choice for a short stay in Osaka.
