Very Nice Property in the Hear....
Casa Locanda Querini was a great place to stay - very close to San Marco, easy to get to from the Alilaguna shuttle from the airport. Rooms are snug but comfortable; very clean and decorated appropriately for Venice. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of food options. Patty was very helpful and friendly, as was the night clerk (didn’t get his name). Surprisingly quiet at all hours, probably because it’s pretty much tucked away in a very small square. Very happy with our experience there.

We paid a lot and here is what....
We stayed at this hotel partly based on Rick Steeve’s and TA recommendations. We paid $320 per night for our room. Rather than judge it, I want to describe it, as I cannot compare it to other Venice hotels in this price bracket:
The room held one large bed, two night tables, a small desk with a chair, and a small armoire with two tiny drawers. There was space to walk around the bed, but no surplus space. We had large windows that opened easily. The room was clean, and the lights worked. The safe worked with a key, but there was no key.
The bathroom had a shower, toilet and bidet, sink and mirror and one shelf about 15 inches long. The water pressure was weak but adequate and the water was hot.
Our room was up one flight of approx. 20 twisty stairs.
The hotel has no common space.
Breakfast is served at small tables across from the reception desk or on tables in front of the hotel. The breakfast included orange juice, two choices of cold cereal, rolls, hard boiled eggs, a bit of fruit and hot beverages arrayed on counters totaling about 10 feet.
The reception desk was staffed from about 8AM until midafternoon.
The hotel is located on a quiet, small, and non-descript campo about 50 yards from a main walking thoroughfares. The hotel is about 7 minutes from the San Zaccaria vaparetto and water taxi stops.

Locanda Casa Querini - THE fav....
Our Cheerful Welcome, the meticulously maintained Renaissance building, our beautiful room overlooking the intimate 500 year old piazza and the morning breakfasts were simply superb. Most memorable and meaningful was the personal care and attention of everyone on the staff, especially Caterina and Zahid. They went the extra mile to make our visit special. Zahid insisted on getting up at 5:00 AM (after only 3 hours of sleep) to help us get to the Vaporetto with our luggage. Thank goodness, if he hadn't we would have been in trouble. We will always have the greatest memories of Locanda Casa Querini and Venice. We're looking forward to our next visit to Venice, Locanda Casa Querini, Caterina and Zahid!

Stayed eight nights. I found ....
Location is wonderful. Close to San Marco and the vaparetto's. It is close to a smaller, intimate campo where there is shopping and outdoor eating. I felt comfortable to go there in the evening and have a glass of wine and dinner.
My room was at the very back and a bit dark, but I did not spend a lot of time in the room. I did go back in the afternoons to get some rest and get refreshed so I could start on a new discovery walk.
Caterina who runs the hotel was very helpful. She went out of her way to look into bus connections, tickets for events, and gave other sightseeing advice. Other staff were also were very helpful and kind.
It is a very nice neighborhood.

Quiet, Comfortable and Close t....
Just a couple of blocks away from the crowds of St. Mark’s Square is a small and nearly private square with a quiet and comfortable bed & breakfast. Taking the back ways, you can be in the confusion in a few minutes (or get a jump on the lines at 8am). Just as quickly, you can retreat to calm and quiet, or enjoy a meal in an uncrowded neighborhood restaurant, seemingly far from tourist Venice. The hotel is also close to the St. Mark’s Vaperetto (pedestrian ferry boats) docks, making access with roller bags quite practical.
The morning ‘continental breakfast’ meal is quite nice with a good variety of fruits and pastries, even though the hotel has six rooms or less. The hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating - even making a reservation and walking us to a nearby restaurant popular with the locals. The hotel also provided lots of helpful information for visiting Venice when we made our reservation.
