My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! They were kind enough to arrange a car to bring us from the airport to the hotel and have a room ready at 10am upon our arrival. We were provided with a suggested route of the city and all of the free attractions for our first afternoon that allowed us to travel by foot and maximize our time (we had a food tour scheduled for the evening). We were also given excellent recommendations for dining. People complained about being below street level and not having a view, but for us, we weren’t in Rome to stare out of our window at a pretty view, we were there to experience the city! The hotel was in the best location and completely safe! Breakfast was great - nothing extravagant, but a perfect start to the day! Would come back here in a heartbeat!

Perfect little hotel in Rome
This was a great find -- right on the Tiber River and walking distance to the Vatican and Piazza Navona. Also right on the hop on/hop off and city bus routes. So a great location.
Even better, the staff was friendly and accommodating - twice Vincenzo made us espresso in the late afternoon/evening, and Vera prepared an ice pack for my travel partner's healing knee. She gave us plenty of travel suggestions, too.
The room was lovely and very quiet until the last evening, when someone threw a party in the alley behind the hotel. It didn't last late, though, and just added to the color of being in the neighborhood. (And the alley was spotlessly clean in the morning).
I would absolutely plan to stay here on another visit to Rome.

Friendly and brilliantly place....
Vincenzo is a very lovely man, extremely helpful and warm and Vera who was there at breakfast is helpful and smiley. It was fabulous to stay in what would have been an apartment on the banks of the Tiber! It felt like an Italian Renaissance lesson! Our ONLY concern about the place was that our room smelled of mildew - the walls are covered by fabric “wallpaper” and as the room was in the basement there may be a damp problem. The bathroom is well equipped and very clean, the bed was comfortable (even the pillows, which I often find to be awful in hotels).
The hotel is perfectly situated for both the Vatican City and lovely piazzas and eateries.

Lovely little hotel
Very helpfull staff, perfect location, clean and nice rooms. Vera and Vincenzo are so nice people, they gave us many perfect recommendations where to go eat real italian food or what is good to see and visit. We loved it there!

Pass it by if you can
Really the only good thing about this hotel is the location because it’s next to the river and a short walk to Vatican City etc. he rooms are very small, the beds aren’t great. Even that great location happens to be along one of the busiest street in the city.
Have to admit that other then the history my wife and I did NOT enjoy the city or the hotel. Find something better and if you want something a bit quieter look around the North side near Billa Medici and Palazzo Margherita. It’s just off the main hustle and bustle but much quieter.
