Poor welcoming skills
Food was fine (pastry, yogurt and coffee) and room was clean. Door locks were by skeleton key only (very noisy) but the most unsettling part of the experience is that I never felt welcomed by the staff. The booking description mentioned garden views but there were no garden views. A friend was staying a short distance away at hotel Hiberia. Go there.

Good location, poor room quali....
This hotel has is in great location. Everything else is poor quality. This hotel does not own the whole building, so its only 2 stores. You have to leave the key at the reception and the reception is on the 3rd floor; so if your room is on the 1 st floor and you want to go out, you have to go up ti the 3 rd floor, live the key and then to the ground floor. Elevator is for 3 people max. When we arrived there was a very strong smoke scent in the our friends room and in the corridor. Manager could not help, cause the hotel wad full. Next day they moved them to another room. In our room there was only one power socket near the bad. The other one was behind the minibar. The walls are too thin and u can hear everything. I get it : it’s only 2 stars, but for this price its not worth it.

Central, cheap, noisy
This hotel is in a great location and it is quite cheap. It is in walking distance of the trevi fountain and other tourist attractions. However, there is a lot of noise from the road and we were situated right by the breakfast room so we were woken every morning at 7.00 am. If you plan to be up early then this won't be a problem for you.

Superb location, disappointing....
Oct '17, our first visit to Rome - single dad with teenage daughter. Hasty booking after a few on-line forays (and two travel agent visits) so not really sure what to expect. A couple of confusing things didn't help - such as two airports, (at least one has two names - three if you count the 'local name'), duff on-line info, validating/not validating public transport tickets, how much from A to B, etc so we just had to find our feet as we went. Train station into Rome city isn't well sign-posted at airport, esp when you have child to keep an eye on, in a busy air/rail/road terminus, so quite poor. Two train choices - fast or slow, each different ticket/price; on-line tip said we needed to buy ticket then validate it at yellow m/c (not the case, validation is as you pass barrier - prob old info); ticket machine in English, bit of fannying about to read everything but OK, checked age for child (happens to be 12yrs); we got Express (double price of slow, half the time). Follow our noses for bus (main sq, opp front entrance of rail terminal), know the bus no., a bus driver speaks Eng to direct us for ticket, ticket kiosk sells us tickets (whether correct, who knows?); validate at m/c on bus, look out for hotel from on-line pic, short journey but poss too far dragging cases. Hotel is basic - twin beds, sheet & blanket (mini heat wave for our trip but prob too cold otherwise), bed-side table with titchy drawer, desk with shallow drawers (for little more than maps!) built-in w/drobe with rail, top shelf (too hi), bottom shelf, with (free) safe on it, & under shelf which is shallow and unusably dirty (too awkward to clean). Lift controls puzzling (just keep pressing if the light extinguishes) but worryingly shudders en-route with v.reluctant doors. Reception on second floor, room on first floor, key to be returned/collected when leaving the hotel - minor inconvenience. Two power sockets - one has TV, the other by bedside table. Only the adapter on the TV cable seems to make them work so phone charging takes priority (multi usb socket from home) not sure why regular European adapter doesn't work. Breakfast is tea/coffee/juice, rolls, unidentifiable meat paste, yoghurt, cereals, plenty of it - disappointingly no meat or cheese. Location of hotel is arguably unbeaten as everything is walking distance - Forum, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, bus, rail, underground, theatre etc restaurants, shops, Tourist Info. It's not budget priced, not luxurious, ill-equipped room if for more than a few days, for more than travelling light but the staff are friendly & helpful and it is oh-so-conveniently located. Recommended, with caution if you're going for longer or for well-heeled travellers. No complaints but a little investment would make this so much improved.

It was alright... decent locat....
The location was good for us to use it as a base for touring Rome. Otherwise, it was just ok. Breakfast consisted of pastries only. The air conditioning wasn't near enough to battle the heat. The beds were terribly hard. Customer service was alright. It's decent for the money, but don't expect much at all.
