I am basing my review on the cost. Hotel is located near the train station. Hotel is in a residential apartment and can be difficult to find in the beginning. For the cost that we paid this hotel was fantastic. They provided daily cleaning service, and were extremely accommodating. They wanted to put us in a triple room, but we convinced them we wanted a smaller room that was located away from the street noise. I suspect they are first-generation Italian’s. I also suspect it is a family owned business. Room was basic but adequate. It had thin walls, Which was not an issue for us because our neighbors were quiet. We had our own bathroom. Probably not the place for high maintenance travelers, but those looking for great value this place was wonderful.

Great location with basic faci....
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The location of the hotel is amazing with 5 minutes walk to termini station and 20 mins walk to Colosseum. Being centrally located, there were numerous dining places of all cuisines around. The hotel is really Basic with just the necessary amenities. First its extremely difficult to locate the hotel being part of one of the residential buildings and there is no sign board indicating its presence. The air conditioner was not working and there was no provision of breakfast in the room. There was a table fan provided and we had to keep the windows open in order to keep the room cool as we went in summers. Wi-fi was working partly and only in certain sections of the room. The owner is a lovely lady and was really helpful in telling us around and printing our boarding passes.
It's ok for a short stay if your only interest is in roaming around and using the room for just a night's sleep.

Great price for location
Situated right by the main train station of Rome-Hotel Farini is relatively clean, friendly and equipped with NECESSARY accommodations for travelers. While I don't recommend it for high-maintenance travelers, it is perfect for people like me who simply need a clean and simple room with a good price. The staff is super friendly and assists their guests at all times. The reception desk is not 24/7-but trust me you don't need it to, it's more of a large apartment area in a residential building.

Small hotel, very friendly own....
The hotel situated next to the police station, so you can look up and will see a sign of the hotel name. It wasn't hard for us to find at all.
I had some misunderstanding with my payment and the owner was very supportive and nice. She tried to call everyone she could to help me.
The room was small, a bit stuffy. It's cleaned everyday, just make sure you leave the room early since they only clean in the morning.
The hotel has a lift, my room had a window, a small fridge, small tv (we never used it) and ac. The water was always hot, even at late night. Super happy about that. The bathtub is very small though. I think it was designed to be sit, not laid down like other bathtubs.
Overall, it was a good budget hotel for visiting Rome, in location, service, facilities.

Only stay for one night!
Luckily my boyfriend and I only stayed in this hotel for one night, and that was more than enough! Firstly we could not even find the hotel as it was hidden away on Via Farini with no sign! Once we finally found the hotel and managed to get in, the lift did not work so we had to carry all of our luggage up the narrow stairs. The man on reception could not speak any English and tried to charge us for 2 days city tax even though we were only there one night! The room was tiny and the window wouldn't open when we tried to get some fresh air into the room. The 'bathroom' was a wet room with a shower head above the toilet that did not flush and we had no towels or hairdryer. My boyfriend and I had an awful nights sleep as the 'double bed' was two single beds pushed together that kept coming apart so I was falling down the middle all night. The only positives of this hotel were the location to the train station, the air conditioning and the fact it was cheap. Horrible experience!
