Close to Tower
Old hotel room should not be confused with Classic. No air as the Mayor had not allowed the hotels to turn-on. Another close by hotel with rooftop bar had their air on in the lobby... Welcome 'drink' was in-fact a glass of fruit juice (not fresh juice either.)

Not 5 star
Nothing about this hotel is 5 star. The experience & the quality of the decor does not come remotely close to the description given on hotels own website - a complete miss representation of the facts. There was nothing deluxe about our deluxe room. Very small & shaby no tea/coffee making facilities. When I spoke to reception about this she just kept repeating the room was deluxe.

Mediocre - not bad/not great
Stayed here for three nights on our mini moon. The hotel is clean and tidy but a little dated. It could do with a refurb, the carpets are very old and worn. However, the bathroom was excellent and cleaned daily with fresh linen and towels. Great location for Pisa with the tower a stones throw away. Staff were lovely, very welcoming and breakfast was ok.

Definitely not 5 star! 2 star.....
Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner to visit Pisa. The hotel was very run down and the same goes for the rooms. Our bathroom stank of ammonia and stale cigarette smoke. There was also rust all over the towel rail. The hair dryer was awful and the bathroom light didn't work.
No tea or coffee making facilities! No room service!
Air conditioning was broken, 23° outside. The room was so small we couldn't even put our case anywhere but on the bed.
We paid for a deluxe room and it was anything but.
The walls were also dirty with dead moths in the net curtain. There was dust on the bedside tables and the carpet needed a deep clean.
I would give this hotel a 2 star at the very most. Advertising as a 5 star hotel is a joke!
Would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. Very disappointed.

I really don’t think that this hotel can be described as 5 star. I have stayed in much better 3 stars! There was no welcome drink on arrival, no tea or coffee making facilities and no information about the free WiFi. I hardly slept a wink on the hard bed in our tiny shabby room which was hot and stuffy as they don’t turn the air conditioning on until June. I opened the window but was disturbed by noise coming from the street. There was no suitable socket in the room to recharge my IPad or heat up my hair tongs.
The breakfast was fine but the only cooked option was scrambled eggs (but no toast). We ate out in the garden which was very pleasant and a member of staff made us tea and coffee. The staff were friendly enough but when I paid I was not asked whether we had a good stay. I asked whether they could keep our bags until 3 pm and was directed down a corridor to a tiny cupboard stuffed full of other peoples luggage. I then had to rearrange it in order to get our cases into the very small space. Luckily I am a fit 69 year old! On our return I had to repeat the process to get our cases out. The receptionist broke off from her phone conversation long enough to call us a taxi but then resumed talking on the telephone for the whole time we were waiting- otherwise I would have raised these issues with her. On the plus side the hotel is in a very good location for the Leaning Tower and the Botanic gardens which are worth a visit.
The hotel looks nothing like the photos on the website- it is badly in need of redecoration and some of the soft furnishings and carpets need a deep clean.
