OK. Nothing Special
This was my first time staying in a small, non-multinational chain, hotel in Germany so I don't know if the curt, bordering on rude, behavior of the staff is normal for Germany or just specially reserved for me.
The theme of the hotel is "garden" and all the furniture is made of green wrought iron with flowery cushions on them. Even the beds frames are wrought iron. Very chic if you like that sort of thing. I didn't.
The shower spreads water all over the floor of the bathroom.
The "restaurant" only serves a buffet breakfast and only has 10 tables so it is very cramped and busy. There was no hot food to be had, not even a toaster to make warm toast. The food quality was good but you need to get in quick when they bring a new tray of meats because all the nice ones get gobbled up quick and only the ordinary ones are left.
There is a pizza restaurant on the ground floor but I think it has no connection to the hotel. We asked the staff in the restaurant why we had been waiting 20 minutes for someone to come to reception so we could check in and they just shrugged their shoulders and carried on serving. If they had been polite we might have eaten there that evening but we refused to on principal.
On the plus side it was cheap to stay in and it was walking distance to the people we were visiting. If it wasn't for the latter I would not stay there again.

Nightmare from Hell
By accident, I found myself and girlfriend without a hotel at midnight. Having tried two hotels that were full, we walked into Seibel's. They had one single room left at 199Euro a night. We were tired, were carrying cases and it was during Oktoberfest so it was a busy time for hotels. We were handed a key and walked down to the basement where the room was. Once opened, we found a tramp lying in the bed. We informed the manager who forced the drunken tramp out of the room. He then changed the sheet on the small bed and left a spare mattress on the floor. We had one small duvet that was enough for one person. I had to sleep fully dressed to keep warm. The toilet had not been cleaned and had poo on the rim. There was a big hole in the floor. There was an old pipe hanging from the ceiling. There was no sink in the toilet. It was behind the bed. The WIFI didn't work. The room was tiny. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We managed to find a lovely hotel the next day at just over half the price charged by Seibel. That was 10 times the size, spotless and modern. Seibel should be closed down. I wouldn't stay there again if I was paid to.

Repeat stay in leafy Pasing di....
A good place to stay if you are heading from Munich to the South West , as it is near the road to Lindau . Having stayed here before in 2010 , I used it at the beginning & the end of my holiday. From the airport it takes about an hour my train to reach Pasing, whether you use the S1 or the S8 lines . From the local station it takes 20 minutes on foot , or there is the No.160 bus which stops close by. There is an on site Italian restaurant (da Ugo) which we used for a nice evening meal....However if you want to watch your budget there is a Greek restaurant up the road (Taverne Kalimera) which we also liked for their friendliness and their prices .
WiFi on my Iphone4 did not seem to work , but the TV had 3 or 4 English speaking stations .

Old and /or dirty...
We did not like this hotel at all. Building is old. Very old inside. Everything looked bad: rooms, furniture, curtains. Either it's too old or too dirty. Our room was above restaurant and everything smelled smoke. Even if you close windows. I guess curtains and furniture absorbed smoke when customers ate outside and smoked. To me it looked as old rental apartment building. We had hands soap and body lotion but shampoo/shower was empty... Parking is available outside for free if you find spot or you can park underground but they charge for it. We stayed there for two nights and always had parking outside.

Late at night wanted to check ....
We arrived at this hotel at 11.10pm and found the hotel locked and no staff available to check us in!
As if this wasn't bad enough we had already been in communication with a staff member so someone knew what time we would be arriving and yet we get to the hotel and find no one there, we're standing out in the pouring rain after a taxi had dropped us off and cannot get into the hotel! We are miles away from anywhere in an area we are not familiar with, tired from our plane and train journey and getting absolutely soaked in the rain.
There's a note on the door, asking to call a number but not before midnight! What planet are you from? We have paid up front for our stay and there's no one there, doors locked on our arrival and made to wait 50 minutes until we call a number and no clue where that's leading, will we get in, have a room, a bed to sleep in or will we have to try and find somewhere else to stay!
I find this absolutely appalling especially when you were advised several times when we would be arriving!
After midnight we finally got through to the number, a person with no apologies whatsoever gave us a code to obtain a key to get into the hotel and get into our room.
We reported this to the receptionist the very next day and fortunately my husband is fluent in German so he was able to get his point across and how very u happy we were. The lady receptionist apologised and said she would look into it.
We heard nothing over our 3 night stay. So on leaving my husband questioned the receptionist which was a different lady. She had heard of what had happened but said she had no authority to do anything. They had our email etc and would be in touch....
We have not heard a thing and it's been over 2 weeks now.
I find this totally unacceptable that we have not had any communication from the hotel that was promised.
The room was basic, not very clean. Huge dustballs in the bottom of the wardrobe, mattresses had seen better days, light fittings were damaged and some not working. No kettle to make a hot drink although bottled water and alcohol was on a shelf but no idea whether this was free gratis so didn't touch any of it.
The only up side to this place was the breakfast room and the lovely lady that served us food and drink there. I hope that lady gets recognised for the fantastic job she does there and for her polite, friendly manner. We had many a lovely chat with her as she spoke fluent English and was genuinely interested in what we'd been doing each day.
If you would wish to stay here I would suggest do not turn up after 6pm because you won't get in until after midnight!
I do hope the manager or the owner has some feedback for us and the decency to offer some kind reimbursement for the appaling start to our holiday, which we work hard for!
