One of the worst hotel rooms e....

Ostensibly this hotel should be a pretty decent boutique type hotel. However, my room 402 is situated next to the hotel’s associated night club. The noise levels are an utter disgrace until 2am from the moment I checked in at just after 9pm. Bass noise thundering out. When I complained I got a yes I see point sort of view but no suggestions of a remedy! It really beggars belief as to how they can consider letting out a room with absolutely no noise insulation etc next to a night club and expecting people to stay there without demanding a refund or relocation to another room. It is SHOCKING! UNLESS YOU ARE DEAF DO NOT CONSIDER THIS HOTEL!!!!!

Just average hotel

My room was spacious, with table, couple of chairs and king size bed. Mattress could have been bit harder - it's totally subjective opinion. Bathroom was huge, clean and cozy. Thing I liked the most was glassy wall stretching throughout whole room. What annoyed me the most was that windows could not be opened and the only way you could get fresh air into the room was by using A/C which is utter nonsense. Breakfast was one big disappointment. It was too simple and there was not wide choice of meals you could pick from. I stayed in the hotel for whole week and there was no change whatsoever. Besides breakfast I ate in hotel restaurant only once and steak I ordered was tasty and well cooked. Staff in hotel is neither attentive nor inattentive. I see lot of space for improvement. Would I recommend this hotel to anyone? Not really. It was just average, nothing more.

It is that hard to say "sorry"....

I have been traveling quite a lot in the last few years. I have staid in hotels in 4 different continents and I have to say that this is the dirtiest hotel room I was ever placed in. The hotel s architecture is quite interesting. Modern, industrial, and it does look quite appealing, when you look at their website. When you arrive you start to notice that furniture is a little worn Out and that the apparently nice furnished rooms are not very comfortable, at all. There is no desk for the computers, or a workplace. No table ( even in the suites, we booked one) and chairs are not comfortable, or appropriate for working. Now returning to the cleaning... I called the front desk, short after arriving and mentioned the room was dirty. The answer was " but there was no one there before you".... well... clearly they didn't clean when the precious hosts left, God knows how long ago. As for the listing of " leftover"... breadcrumbs, animal hair, women hair, remains of unidentifiable food.... The front desk was clearly annoyed that I complained and that I called, and answered with a single " I already told then" and absolutely no attempt to apologize, not even verbally, was made. I should also mention we booked 4 rooms, which was not that little... and this is the treatment we got. Worst costumer service ever. Truly disappointed.

Great view

Wow - we booked a family room which usually results in a slightly bigger sofa. Not in Sono Hotel. Room 903 is top floor of the hotel, it probably covers half of the floor and is huge. HUGE! Stunning living room area with glass walls provides a unique view of Brno. Can't imagine you'd have a better view somewhere else. There are two separate bedrooms with glass walls as well. Absolutely perfect. The garage is spacious and free of charge. If you drive a bigger car, take -2 and park like a boss. So far so good. But - the reception staff (especially at check out) provides a fantastic tax-office attitude being super-busy with the computer, no eye contact, no greeting, no how was your stay, no thank you. I assume the hotel is normally overbooked and this is the only thing that they can do to keep the guests away. But it goes further: breakfast selection is lame, a few pieces of bread, two types of jam in plastic containers, some cereals, hot dogs, few yoghurts and a couple of apples. A complete disaster. Skip it. If you like fantastic views, you're on a diet and don't like friendly staff, then this is the hotel for you.

Glass-window hotel

Nice hotel, located 20-25 min walking distance from the city center. The rooms are spacious, clean and the outside wall (the wall that looks to the street) is made from glass, interesting. Also, the elevator is made from the glass so if you scared from high, close your eyes! Hotel has a underground, safe parking, free of charge for the guest. The restaurant is good, food tasteful. All around on the walls in the rooms and in the restaurant are pictures of the rock and roll stars, so this is rock&roll hotel!
