Affordable stay in downtown Porto Alegre. Room was small but clean. Breakfast was better than expected.
What I didn’t like was the hotel location. For a leisure trip on a weekend, staying in the downtown region was not a smart choice, especially after we found out there was a shooting just outside the hotel on the day before we arrived. Porto Alegre is not very safe, so be aware of your surroundings!

This is a business hotel, it offers clean rooms and great hot showers. No frills, and there is a place for working out just around the corner, if that is the case.
The dinner is served from 7-10pm, at a good price (R$25,00) , you can choose one grilled meat (or rather chicken or fish) Salads and everything else as much as you'd like. But a small variety.

Nice hotel, bad location.
The hotel itself is quite nice, the rooms are small but look classy. Hot water, good wifi and a good breakfast. The receptionist (Lucas) was really nice.
However, it was freezing the nights I stayed and the blankets are quite thin and the heater didn't work.
Also, I came in Saturday evening and left Monday morning- there is absolutely nothing to do around the hotel and in fact the whole zona centro. Everything was closed- even the McDonald's. It's like a ghost town, except for all the homeless people. If I had to do it again, I'd book somewhere in cidade baixa.
I guess it's okay cuz you can walk to the train station from the hotel to get to the airport.

Too bad to give a grade
I arrived and found that the room that was reserved was unavailable but was informed that later my baggage would be transfered to the correct room. When I got back, at 10:30 pm, was informed that no transferrence had taken place, I was stuck with the same twin room. Hotel is in dire need of revamp, fittings are old and generally falling apart. KEEP AWAY! There are better hotels in the vicinity.

Smells bad, staff are not solicitous, bad room service (they snap on your door until you opened), not flexible (did not wait 10 min to take out breakfast table, even kindly asking for it)very bad reception. Bad food (room service). Location is okay, but garage is not functional.
