Nice & pleasant but ..
Having read the reviews on tripadvisor we selected this b & b & we stayed here for two nights in April 2018. Agree with all the reviews about the rooms being decorated in Paris 1930’s being very nice. It is very quaint. The bed in the upper floor is not massive as described in one review it’s probably at most queen size but not king or super king. The stairs are very very steep and the handrails are locked to the wall so no where to grip to stay safe. The owner is very nice & very helpful. The reviews give the impression the chocolate shop is a main feature the reality is it’s a shop to buy things in. The owner serves the breakfast in the shop. The breakfast is very basic and not suited to teenagers and we found it was awkward to ask for things such as fresh fruit etc as the kitchen only provides breakfast & they only have a few things in it. One of our party was gluten free and each morning he was accomadated with gluten free options. The owner is very knowledgeable on the local area. Perhaps we had our expectations heightened by the reviews on here and while it was a pleasant experience i might not have selected it for a family to stay in. It is much more suited to couples.

Wonderful! Super! Fantastic!
Definitely the best bed and breakfast that I have stayed at! Beautiful surroundings with wonderful attention to detail, inspired by 1930’s Paris ??
Topped off with the most welcoming and friendly owner I have ever met ?? Chris definitely made it a special stay while visiting Turnout, Belgium.

Excellent B&B. Highly recommen....
We stayed in the 7th Heaven top floor room and 7th Heaven it was.
The B&B above a chocolate shop has got three Paris 1930's style rooms.
And the one on the top floor even has an outside terrace!
The owner and his wife are extremely helpful and nice and whenever you're in Turnhout or around there somewhere, THIS is THE place to stay!

Hard working proprietor made m....
I am just back from a short business trip to Belgium where I stopped at the Bon Bon Nuit B&B in the centre of Turnhout. A quaint chocolate shop fronted accommodation in the heart of the town. Managed by the hard working and very pleasant proprietor Chris (on his own), this set of rooms are based on a 1930's Paris theme with numerous memorabilia adorning each room. Artifacts such as old 30's newpapers, old suitcases, period clocks and many more items gave it the correct nostalgic feel. I particularly liked the caption behind the toilet door. As I sat reading the headline on the French newspaper hanging from the wall, I glanced up to see a plaque on the back of the door that read, "Don't open the door until the train stops". Very amusing given the place I was.
From the outside of this accommodation it looks predominantly like a chocolatiers or sweet shop. I remember thinking to myself it looked just like the candy store in Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory. The door opens and the bell rings as you enter inside. Straight in front is the staircase leading to the living accommodation and to the right a door leading into the sweet shop. A warm greeting is given to all guests on entry by Chris the owner. Right from the off he is the most accommodating and helpful hotelier you could ask for. He provided a town map and pointed out the places of interest and best places to eat and drink.
He took my bags to the room and then showed me where everything could be found. The room itself was in alignment with the theme of the shop. A large double bed in true 30's iron style was the centre piece in this two level configuration. On the lower level was the bed and two small tables to each side. There were soft drinks, wine and tea/coffee making facilities laid out. Tea/coffee is free with the other drinks chargeable but at affordable prices ( 2 to 4 euros). A small 20 inch flat screen tv hung from the wall mixing modern technology with the period feel of the room.
On the upper level was the open plan bathroom with period bath and its copper & ceramic fittings. Towels adorned the bath and bath salts were available in a Pesel & Mortar type bowl. The bath however had a modern jacuzzi system with speed variance and hand held shower unit.
The breakfast served at between 8 & 10am but as I had an early meeting Chris got up early to serve me at 07:30. Breakfast consisted of many items if you wanted them including beautiful honey made locally and sold from the shop. Cereals, french breads, tea or coffee etc....were available and if you had any special requirements it was not too much trouble.
The accommodation also benefits from a massage and relaxation therapy room one day per week although I did not take advantage of this during my stay.
I stayed for two nights and will be sure to return as I was made to feel very welcome and as if my custom was valued. Chris is a very hard working guy who goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Something sadly missing in a few places I have stayed in. One example of this was on my second morning, without prompting, Chris offered and took me into the offices I was working at on his day off in order that I did not have to take a taxi. I think that speaks volumes.
So if nostalga is your thing and you want to be made to feel very comfortable; then this is the place for you if you are in and around Beerse as I was.
