Nightmare place, do not go the....

We got this place through RCI timeshare exchange and even after reading the bad reviews (because some places get bad reviews unjustifiably) I thought that I would still be able to handle this place, but when I got there I was so disgusted by how dirty and run down this place was I immediately booked a different hotel and called RCI to get a full refund and complain about the terrible state of this hotel. I'm not sure who or how RCI does their quality check, but I can't believe this place is on their resort list. When we first got there we were given a skeleton key (A SKELETON KEY!) for our door which my partner had a very difficult time unlocking using this flimsy key. Prior to coming up to our room we rode this elevator that I swear was 100 years old. It was one of those old fashion cage elevators you had to close the inside gate and the outside door before the elevator would operate. Riding this elevator I thought we were going to plunge to our death at any moment. We get to the floor and every single light was out in the hall way and it was very dark since there are no windows to let any light in. So we had to adjust our night vision and kind of guess which room was ours. I think there was only 4 rooms per floor, so it was not too hard to figure out. We already had a bad feeling about this place when we noticed the lack of lighting...and we weren't sure if they were burned out lights or just missing light bulbs. The carpets were absolutely atrocious! I was afraid to even remove my shoes for fear of getting instantly devoured by fleas. We anxiously opened the room door (I was hoping things would improved but)...NOPE! It was awful, it smelled bad and it was quite warm since they don't run air conditioning until someone rents the room. We opened as many windows as we could to air out the place, then turned on the air conditioner and surprisingly had decent cold air blowing on us. The hotel room or "apartment" consisted of three small rooms with doors that closed off each room. It was the epitome of the closed concept design. The first room we encountered was the kitchen. It was small, had minimal dishware and just looked to depressing to do anything in. The middle room (or living room, I guess) had two trundle beds, one on each side of the room. I guess it's for people with their 12 kids that would be able to find sleeping spaces for everyone. There was also a round table covered with a thick plastic table cloth with 2 chairs and an additional 2 chairs next to the trundle beds. I can't get over how gross the carpets were. There were still all sorts of items on the floor that had never gotten vacuumed or even picked up. I found hair ties, yarn and two rusted screws that I have no idea where they came from. There were untold stains all over. The third room was the bedroom and bathroom. The bed consisted of two twin beds pushed together to make a queen size bed (?). The lock box was already locked...but we later discovered it was even too small for our tablet...Our 11 inch tablet!! There was a boat load of heavy wool blankets in the closet. I think I counted 5 total blankets. The bed linens were absolutely awful. I don't know how little of stitch count a bed sheet can have before you might as well take a large piece of paper and use that as your bedding. The comforter had holes and patches all over and it was as thick as two pieces of paper put together. The only surprising modern item in the whole room was the TV. It was an actual flat screen TV! If you're going to try to improve things at your hotel, how about fixing things up a little? As far as the rooms being secure, you could lock your room door from the INSIDE using the skeleton key that some people (side partner) could not get unlocked for the life of them! Total fire hazard if you can't even get out of your room!! The walls had all sorts of dirt streaks or large pieces of the wall paper was coming off. There were mystery switches that either didn't do anything from lack of electricity or that particular light bulb/switch was burned out. We asked about laundry and they did have laundry service that charged on average about $1USD per item of clothing. WHAT??!! We ending up finding a laundry mate where we were able to do our own laundry...which we preferred! I guess the only positive thing about this place is that it had free WIFI and a decent signal...but it would occasionally shut off...although we found this to be the case everywhere we went in South America. We spent one night since it took us that long to find another place and plus I'm a glutton for punishment apparently. That's when I discovered how horrible the sheets were when I went to bed eventually and when we did leave the place I had at least over a dozen bites on my lower legs from the flea infestation of the dirty, filthy carpets.

Good enough

This is a basic hotel-resort in the heart of buenos aires , it's location couldn't be better , the subway is just 2 blocks away, in the other hand if you don't want to have too much expenses this the hotel for you , you can cook in the room ( the kitchen is well equipped, in the case you need a kitchen tool you can call the front desk and they'll help you). To finish the staff is really helpful and friendly, also you have to know this hotel isn't a five star hotel but for its level is good.

Good scum !!!

I was invited by a couple to join them to a trip to Buenos Aires - they said the hotel we will have an extra room - but in fact is a "living room" with a sofa-bed (not a good sofa and not a good bed) - But the real problem was the dirty - starting from the floor and carpet (disgusting aspect), passing through the bathroom and finish with the towels ... there was some points of blood in the bead sheets (and was not mine !!!) and I didn´t have courage to get inside the kitchen. The location was ok - near Obelisk and other several tourists place - but the street at night was scary (some kind of zombies walking around - but no problem at all). Final comment : Run away !!!

good location; the rest... not....

Good location, walking distance to many attractions and tourist places in B. Aires. The place itself: the rooms and bathrooms were old, the sheets, bed cloths and towels were very old (even had a cigarette burn). the matress and couch were oooold (we woke up with headaches). no microwave in the kitchen and a very small fridge, but that wasn't a big issue since we tried to spend the least amount of time in the "hotel". There isn't a dining room, and the lobby was non-existant. I guess I have to compliment the shower because there was unending hot water and good water pressure. I will not go back, not even for the price!

Even now when I look at the photos on Trip advisor I can not believe we were in the same hotel. We were a group and one couple had a room which had the windows all boarded up!!! We had no hot water for 2 nights/days so I just was longing to get home! Our room was very basic, reminded me of a run down backapckers! No hot water and no smoke alarms and we were there responsible for a group of students! I was actually quite frightened and other members of the group felt the same. The staff were polite but it didn't make up for the rooms. Should never be called a super resort! (one member of the group was on the top floor and the room was of a higher standard! )The hotel left me and the many others with a very bad impression of Argentina but I hope to return but I will loo more closely at the reviews first! We would be shut down in NZ if we showed pics like this on a site!
