Review Of Viceroy Hotel

Location is near Mall road, but now, there is hardly any view from the rooms. Avoid the hotel if you have senior citizens as one have to climb up stairs to reach the reception desk. The hotel seemed a bit pricy compared to the facilities offered. At the price we paid per room, it was a normal stay and nothing extraordinary. There was a request for 2 single beds but the room had a queen bed. Mini bar was missing and neither welcome drinks were served. Room size was also small.

It was a Good stay at the VICEROY Hotel. The Location was excellent. Close to the Mall road. The food was good too The Executive room was good. The view was good. But the Room needs a Hair Dryer. It was lacking. It was the only Drawback for me. Rest It was a very comfortable stay at the Hotel. The Hotel staffs were very good and Welcoming.

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the mall. The hotel is well decorated with an aesthetic value, with all amenities, excellent room service, good and courteous staff with nice behaviour. The room are well decorated, well furnished, spacious, the wash room is clean, 24 hrs hot water and power back up. One should be cautious during booking as all the rooms don't have mountain view. However the terrace has an excellent mountain view. The restaurant is excellent, and offers a variety of food. The food is tasty, hygienic, served in good quantity. The behaviour of restaurant staff especially F & B manger is worth mentioning. One should not miss the meal from this restaurant.

food is too good, ambience is good and staffs are very polite and cordial. location is property is approx 200m from chowrasta but not 70m from chowrasta as mentioned in mmt but its near Mall. overall nice experience

Firstly, if the weather is clear, you can see Mt Kanchanjunga and other hills from the Mountain View rooms. It can be a stunning view if they were earlier hidden by clouds. While the property is good, the location is convenient, and the staff is friendly, what rankled us a lot was that all bed and bath linen was unwashed and smelly. I didn't expect this level of neglect considering the room rate. I had to ask the hotel to change the pillows on the first day itself, and the bed linen the next morning. Then we discovered that the bath linen was unwashed too. They replaced it with 'fresh' towels but the next day we again had smelly towels and the cotton bath mat went missing. We had balconies with fake grass, but it was dripping wet due to the rain and made us slip when we returned to the room. There are no ceiling fans, but our children's room had a small table fan. Our room didn't have any fan, but luckily it didn't get stuffy inside. Otherwise it was a lovely stay. Mr. Vishal and Mr. Arindam were very friendly and helpful. If you are a bird lover, expect to see Rufous Sibias on the balcony in the morning and Red-billed Leothrices in the fir tree outside.

I had a very disappointing stay at Hotel Viceroy. I had booked two rooms, but on arrival, I was given the smallest room possible and was told this is the only one available. I was also informed that the booking cannot be cancelled and no refund would be issued – completely unfair. The second room was in terrible condition – it had a bad smell and instead of a queen bed (as booked), it had two single beds. The rooms did not match the photos or the promised facilities. On top of that, the service was extremely poor. I had to call multiple times just to get drinking water, and in the end, I had to go to the kitchen myself to collect it. For the price they charge, the experience and facilities were way below standard. Overall, this stay was not worth the money at all. I would strongly advise others to look for better options.

Food quality is excellent. Rooms are good and housekeeping is very well maintained.

Even though the Staffs were very courteous, there were a few issues which were off-putting. 1. Rooms were very small, like really small. The bed was a queen bed, which was really small and an extra mattress won't fit in the room. 2. Lift would go out of order frequently. 3. The hotel does not have any newspapers, does not have any children's activity zone, does not have any recreation option. 4. The food prices are quite expensive. They even charge the Mineral Water as double of MRP, then adds tax to it.

I think hotel Viceroy is one of the best choice which is very near to centre of the Darjeeling city, maal road to hotel is straight, the view is good, room is clean and every.

The location was very good, near to the main square at a Walking distance. Rooms were clean n comfortable with room heaters. The only negative can be the size of the rooms . A little small but manageable considering it’s cold weather primarily.

Location is excellent. Food quality and service equally good. The property is very well maintained, neat and clean.

Toilet is very very bad. Commode position is too bad. Food quality is average

We booked executive room but they gave us standard rooms behaviour of morning staff is very bad (specially a lady)lift is not working no support team very pathetic condition please don't book there room.

Property needs some renovation. Creaking wooden floor. Breakfast good and staff polite.
