Review Of Hotel The Montreal Near by Dal Lake

Location is very good. Food served was tasty. Hospitality was good. Rooms were clean. Overall I enjoyed my second stay here .

I had booked The Montreal for my autumn trip to just Srinagar. I and my sister, we both, choose The Montreal. We love hotels that are not in the central, hustle bustle area as city life is enough to have that. We wanted to spend some quiet and quality time in the city with a hotel close to Mughal Gardens (The speciality of Srinagar being the garden city) and Dal lake. The location is located in walking distance to Shalimar Garden and is very close to Nishant. All the other major gardens, Tulip, Botanical, Pari Mahal, Chasme Shahi, Chinar Park are within 4km to 5km from the hotel. Just outside the hotel within 2km you come across Dal Lake Foreshore Road side and then you can either go towards Boulevards or Hazratbal. The hotel has a very homely feeling with spacious room, good decor, with all the basic amenities. It felt homely to us especially the staff behaviour. The breakfast was delicious with ample options to choose from. I want to be clear that I got a far much greater return in terms of booking this hotel compared to many I have booked in the past with the same cost. For future too, I will book the same as it was the best week long trip with the best stay I had. The staff was so good that we felt sad leaving the city and they were very happy in helping us know about the city. Be it family or friends, a good hotel can make or break your stay. I am happy that I chose The Montreal.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a nice view of mountains. Food quality and breakfast variety could be improved for a better experience. Overall, a good stay with cooperative staffs.

extremely horrible,, suffocating, untidy... n for an extra bed a mattress was placed on the floor 😮

The staff was extremely courteous, room was spacious with 24*7 heating, breakfast was good with decent spread, ala carte lunch and dinner dishes were delicious too, overall a very good experience within budget. Will definitely recommend to fellow travellers

I must say this is one of the best hotels in Srinagar both in terms of facilities and hospitality. Lady manager and the entire staff were very nice people who would treat you like family by addressing all your concerns. Regarding breakfast we were surprised by the Masala Dosa which was very tasty and even the buffet. Con part is non-veg which did not meet the expectation and the TV which will have only one channel which will play old Hindi songs, so I would suggest the management to recharge for some good channels too.Everything else was just perfect.

Wonderful staff - the rooms and clean with heating system and hot water supply. Food is good and so is the location. All key attractions are nearby to the hotel.

Nice Clean and Cozy Rooms and Hygienic Washrooms with Car Parking and yummy food makes it a amazing property near some of the most exciting spots nearby including the magnificent Dal Lake and fascinating Mughal Gardens.

Superb property, and there service is very good and food is also delicious, and room heating is perfect. All over is 10/10

We all enjoyed very much. Staff was kind. The lemon chicken coriander soup was delicious! table tennis was fun.

Rooms were comfortable but food are not good. We added breakfast in our bookings which is really not worth. Same menu everyday, no option for kids, everyday idly, poha and bread butter. Its better we should have only opted for rooms. Staffs are friendly and professional and they did their best. It was a comfortable stay in this freezing cold.

I had worst experience at this hotel. first, They say it near dal lake but it is marketing gimmick as you can not find shikara near by. Second, Dirty bed sheets, dirty towel. Third, bad location. Fourth, They don't even provide mineral water in the room. They provide water in some dirty bottle and say it as RO water. If you order a mineral water then Rs. 20 mrp water is being provided @ 42 Rs. When I countered then one staff said it's gst, other said service charge. Pure loot by this hotel. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone.
