Pahalgam Hotel

The location is perfect. The service staff was polite, efficient and responsive. The restaurant experience was perfect too. Just the condition of room and the bathroom was far from perfect. The room was very small for a price of Rs 25000 per night. The bed was pretty ordinary. The tv was small and was not even HD, forget about 4K. The bathroom was small which didn’t even have overhead shower. I am not sure whether rest of the rooms were like that or not. It well might be called a heritage hotel, its room and bathroom fixtures needed to be of good quality at this price. When I told the reception boy about my observations, he responded more or less indifferently.

If you grew up in the 1990s in India, this hotel is definitely going to charm you! Excellent location in the Pahalgam central market. They serve probably the best food I had during the Kashmir trip! The staff ensured that all food was served fresh and piping hot. The warmth of their staff overshadows the fact that the restaurant has barebones amenities. Rooms are cosy and comfortable but the hotel is in the need of some good renovation, especially the bathrooms. There were also voltage fluctuation issues and room heaters worked only during the first night of our stay. However, we were provided with portable heaters and staff ensured that we stayed warm.

Pros: centrally located in pahalgam market, rooms offer amazing view of mountain + lidder river cons: slow room service, very bad condition of fittings in bathroom, limited lunch/dinner/breakfast buffet spread. For all the pros and cons described above the price could be at least 30-40% lower

If you plan to experience the valley choose a place either to the left or right of this place and you won't have to think of anything. You might even be able to look down upon the guests here who are paying 20k+ to stay in a village when better facilities at a lower rate are available closeby. Also, you might like to make your own arrangements to see the valley because they are the least bit helpful.

Location is right on the river. Beautiful view of snow peak mountains. Lovely tulip flowers and green garden. Room are clean. Linen is sparkling clean. Food choice is exhaustive and very good. Would rate it as the best choice we could have asked for. Wi-fi is excellent and we could work from there.

Property is bang at the main market. This is an advantage. The view from the hotel is awesome. All the staff are courteous and pamper you. This is core for any hospitality industry. The rooms are nice and have a great view. Different categories. I got an upgrade and it was simply great. Food was nice. I opted for breakfast and dinner. When it is cold, it is good to eat dinner in the restaurant. There is a high tea in the evening along with snacks and kashmir special. The ambience of the hi tea lounge is simply awesome. Overall a great experience and i strongly recommend this hotel. No hotel is perfect and you may have some teething issues. The key is that they are resolved. This hotel at one time was frequently visited by the bollywood biggies. It is an old hotel and some may find it different.

Awesome location. It’s a glimpse of paradise. All modern facilities are available. The food varieties are good. Particularly the buffet services are nice with large spread. On request special items are also served

I along with my wife stayed at The Pahalgam Hotel in June 1979 to celebrate our honeymoon. We had very fond memories of our stay with Showman Raj Kapoor & the entire team of movie Love Story too staying there. This time, we were very pleased to note that this hotel has maintained their services as well as their rooms remarkably well. The entire atmosphere, scenic views & ambience have rekindled our memories & made our stay most pleasurable. The Food variety as well as its quality has been excellent. The supporting staff is most courteous. Taking into account all the parameters including its heritage type existence, I can safely state that this hotel is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Pahalgam. Today we check out from this hotel with heavy hearts

This is the best location in pahalgam, with a fantastic view of the mountains & the lidder river. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food could improve a bit. Variety is good but not so tasty.

Amazing stay at pahalgam hotel ! they could bring some modernity as well for the price. For a cottage kind of stay the price was high.

Hotel pehelgam is superb location opp river.It’s a location opposite to Amarnath Yatra helipad & based camp.Food was good ,staff was courteous .I like to visit again.Thanks hotel pehelgam .
