coupleThis property is at a lower altitude to Munnar but offers a good view from the room itself. I traveled in Jan end and the weather was just pleasant. No feeling of cold weather at all. Further you've to be entirely dependent on the resort for culinary needs. Choose this property if you want to relax and don't choose if you want many tourist facilities near your stay

Perfect stay
Amazing view, clean rooms and very great staff. 6km from main market, but hotel food is also good. Their breakfast menu has variety of options.

familyStaff was rude did not let me checkin without paying 100% payment . Cleanliness was poor , i saw them not change linens or bother to clean toilet in my 2 days stay. Staff is lost called me twice for some restaurant bill i did not even order

The bathroom has a stinking smell. The water is not clean, a little yellowish in color. The service is not great. They don't know have basic courtesy. The veg food has less option. The service is slow. Overall a poor stay.

Good Stay
Overall good experience. There are good and some improvements required. 1. Hotel allowed early checkin as we reached early morning which was very helpful 2. Location and view from hotel is amazing 3. Food quality and taste need improvement based on experience of the dishes ordered during dinner. Breakfast was good though. 4. The room service needs improvements. We had to call multiple times for water delivery to room. 5. Quality of towels, sofas in rroon need significant improvement considering this hotel is considered in luxury segment. We got torn towels which is not expected in this price segment. Sofa in our room was very dirty and we didn't use it. 6.

coupleWe had a good stay and the staff was considerate to our requests. While the cascade category rooms lack basic amenities like ac and mini refrigerator, they were way too small - upon insistence we were given a room which was clean, spacious and had the required amenities.

Room service is very poor. Reception staff is uncooperative. Morning buffe is nice, i w rang reception to send bill to pay to checkout, but staff called me to reception, this is not decent way. The cooperation and liasioning among different wings like reception, restorent, housekeeping is completely missing. The hotel view, rooms, environment are really excellent, hygene is maintained but hotel management needs to refine and train the human resource.

Over-promised expectations
Firstly, room was not valley view as was mentioned while booking, which we later got changed, services were very slow, driver was not given accomodation on first day. Ala cart e food options were very limited for veg and even from that things were not available. Food was bl-ant and breakfast was cold on day1. Rooms were fine.

Dead insect,no ac room,unclean bathroom,no towels and no water
I stayed in December 2024 in this hotel and wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at Devonshire Hotels; the worst hotel in our entire trip of Kerala.. Upon check in the hotel, we found there was dead insects in balcony and no towels and water in room. Upon informing the reception, the front office executive is asking us whether water is kept in room and whether the insect was dead after we checked in the room. The hotel washroom was not upto the mark. Upon asking to shift us to another room..they agreed to shift our luggage next day and upon check in to room we realise the room didn’t had ac which was the lowest category of room they gave us.then we again ask them to change the room which they gave us late night at 11 pm to sleep in ac room..in 2 days check in..we changed 3 rooms in same hotels different floors…horrible rooms..horrible hospitality experience..front office executive Anish and Tejas were less hospitable.Also Fridge and Hair dryer is kept in the room only after you request it.please don’t stay here if you really don’t want your family to go through worst experience.

Average Stay
groupI had booked 10 similar rooms but when reached for checkin they provided different tyoe of rooms in which one room was not properly cleaned. On request they changed it but that was in some other floor. Receptionists were not customer friendly. Rooms were good but rate is higher in comparison. Food isvof average quality. First day break fast was ok ok. But second day was horrible they provided previous days dishes iddali was cold like ice vada double fried. Total experience is mixed

Wonderful stay with stunning views!
familyI had an amazing stay at this hotel, which is perfectly tucked in the mountains just 10 minutes from main munnar city. The valley view from the room was breathtaking, and the sound of the nearby attukad waterfalls added to the serene atmosphere. The rooms were exceptionally neat and clean, offering excellent views. Ample parking space was a big plus, and the complimentary breakfast had a great spread. The staff were incredibly hospitable and made our stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat close to nature, this is the perfect spot!
