Avoid at all Costs - Overpriced Over rated and Overheated

This has to be one of the most uncomfortable hotel experiences I’ve had. The room air-conditioning is centrally locked at 25°C, making the rooms suffocatingly hot and impossible to sleep in. What truly ruined the stay was the arrogant attitude of the Front Office Night Manager — who actually had the audacity to suggest opening the windows and switching off the AC instead of fixing the issue. For a so-called “Continental” hotel, this level of ignorance and indifference toward guests is disgraceful. It’s basic hospitality 101: comfort your guests, don’t condescend to them. Until management learns that lesson, stay anywhere else. Samarkand has far better hotels — with cooler rooms and warmer hearts.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Continental in Samarkand. The highlight was undoubtedly the breakfast buffet, which offered a delicious and diverse spread with both local and international options—perfect to start the day. The staff were exceptionally polite and courteous, always ready to assist with a warm smile, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Samarkand!
