The hostel is a really good hostel. We were there initially for 6 nights and then one more night after our short trip elsewhere. The hostel is clean. There is a lot of place in the lounge to sit and relax. There is a small area outside the hostel on the roadside where one can sit and relax if no one is smoking out there. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. For breakfast, a lot of cereals, bread, jam, peanut butter, biscuits, milk and orange juice is provided. The kitchen is a full fledged one. The hostel has quiet time from 12 am to 8 am when the lights will be switched off. Each bed has an individual small light which can be used though. There are enough electric points to charge our devices. Each of the dorms have a single bathroom cum toilet attached to the room but there are a lot of common bathrooms cum toilets in each of the 3 floors of the hostel. So no need to worry. The common bathrooms can be used even if you arrive the hostel before the check in time. Soap, shampoo and few other toiletries are provided by the hostel for free. Locks, bathroom slippers could be bought for a nominal price. Upto 10 page printouts can be taken for free from the hostel reception desk. Every night there is an event in the hostel which ranges from movie night to pasta night to mac and cheese night, etc. To explore DC, they have a lot of pamphlets. Don't hesitate to ask the people at the reception for help to plan your trip in DC. They are really helpful. The hostel is right in the adams morgan area. There are two bus stands close to the hostel. Bus no. 90, 96, 42 and L2 could be taken from these bus stands to various parts of the city. The nearest metro (Woodley Park) is less than a mile away. There are a lot of eateries around the hostel area. The National Mall is around 3 miles away from the hostel and you could take the bus or metro. The hostel doesn't have a lift and the stairs are pretty narrow. So carrying your luggage to your room would be a bit hard. They may help you to carry your luggage to your room. I rated it four stars as the last day of our stay was a bit rough. We checked in around 9:30 pm and had to leave the next morning around 7 to catch an international flight. Around 11:15 pm we got to know from a poster in the kitchen area that water won't be available throughout the hostel from 11:30 pm to 8:00 am. The hostel staff hadn't informed us about this while checking in even though we had mentioned about our early check in. So be careful about this, especially if you have a long flight the next day.
