Handlery Union Square Hotel

The stay experience was good only by the locality wise, if compared from a service point it’s pathetic as there was a extreme WiFi connectivity problem in the room and when we asked them to sort it out they said they have raised it on priority and shall be resolved but then I didn’t receive any resolution to the same..after even complaining the second day for the same they said they cannot change the room to a room that is close to the WiFi sector as they mentioned they only have one wifi in the room..as we are international clients the hotel didn’t bother to take care of the same as wifi is something we require the most when travelling internationally..the staff was also very rude when it came for assistance as the hotel didn’t have any in room service neither ..all together not a word for money only the location is good.

Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent and close to union square and powell bart station. Has a single cup coffee maker.

Handlery has 2 sections. The historic section and the new premiere section. We got a room at the historical section and it’s a bit old and smelly. Didn’t get to see the pool view that is the image shown\

Rooms were a bit old and small but the stay was comfortable. Very nice service and location is close to all attractions

I stayed in the historic building. Spacious room with small wardrobe, clean, provided with coffee maker, soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath mat for shower, mini fridge. Housekeeping is daily and very efficient. Location is right next to Union Square with access to all major shops and restaurants and in close proximity to cable car and Bart powell street station. Take exit A1 from the Station to reach the hotel with short walk. Bell hop service is also available. There are few Indian restaurants nearby. Very safe area. Several convenience stores are also very near to the Hotel. The Hotel provides free baggage storage after check out. Felt like a home away from home with smiling staff and warm atmosphere.

Only thing that works for Handlery is great location and I guess it is so pricey only due to that. Hotel is kind of clean, but rooms are real tiny. I read other reviews that rooms are tiny, but these were really tiny and not fit for a couple stay. Bathroom was still tinier and everything is just fit in for sake of it.
